Vivid Seats projecting more Bills fans at the game Sunday than Dolphins fans

Recommended Posts

This pretty much says it all here.  Fins fans are so demoralized right now its great.                                         https://finheaven.com/threads/roll-call-whose-going-sunday-night.381951/

Here's a tasty nugget :"I’ll be watching a pretty cool true crime series during the game on Sunday night, which will be far less disturbing than the final score. So watch horrific stories about murderous psychopaths, or watch Josh Allen murder the Dolphins like a psychopath?"

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Get ready South Florida here comes Bills Mafia!

Sunday's showdown for the AFC East title in Miami is a road game for the Buffalo Bills, but it may not look and feel like it.

According to VividSeats.com, it projects that more than half of the fans inside Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday will be rooting for the Buffalo Bills. That's a lot of red, white and blue as the stadium holds 65,326 people.

Using the "Fan Forecast" algorithm VividSeats projects that the split of fans at Sunday's game in Miami will be 52% to 48% in favor of the Bills.

As any away game should be.

Speaking of Josh murdering them, in 12 games against the Dols, Josh is 10-2 (assists by Charles Clay and a short week in hot temps for the losses) and has 39 TDs and 11 turnovers.

I've seen it first hand but this year given how Miami fans are bandwagon they might not let Buffalo have more fans because they are actually good

Since Fins are indeed "good". It will be even more demoralizing to Fins and FinsNation when Bills take over the joint. Bills players have mentioned the Miami crowd support a number of times. I like the phrase "it'll be Highmark South".

I don't quite see how a home crowd could be under < 50% especially when the visiting team is not really close in proximity

Have you watched a previous Miami game vs. Bills? 30% Bills fans is typical. Realistically, I can see reaching 50% with the importance, winter birds, etc. Bills fans willingness to spend $$$ vs. Miami fans.

I’ve never been there in person, no.  It’s hard to tell from TV.  As an away team Buffalo is represented well.  Not just from loyal traveling fans, but also from WNY who are all over the US - (except for Buffalo 😂)

I live in Tampa.   Miami KNOWS we’re coming.

Miami fans view us as the Romans viewed the Visigoth’s in the 5th century AD.

“Our Eternal City, the seat of culture and human achievement, has barbarians assembling to its north … and they’re heading this way.”

PS …. Section 121.  I will do my part.

I’m running the Disney marathon weekend races right now in Orlando [lamp alert], and I can safely tell you that on one of the Buccees c-store pitstops in South GA yesterday on the way, it was a ridiculous number of geared-up Bills fans crammed in there—probably some going to the same races I’m at, but I don’t doubt most were headed to Miami.

I'm sure we will represent well, but we haven't played particularly well in these mixed crowd away games (LA and London).

Yeah we're going to have to play a hell of alot better than we did at SoFi.  It was inspiring to see over 50% Bills fans there.

And a ton of Fish ST holders sell their tickets to Buffalo fans because they can make some $$$.

This is very true, Bills fans will pay double and the Fins fans won't go. have seen it for years.

Is this percentage of sales on vivid?  I bet there are a lot of tickets from season ticket holders that never show up on the secondary market. You have to assume those are fishes.

This is exactly what was thinking. These figures don't include dolphin season ticket holders. No way will there be more bills fans. It will most likely be something like 70% dolphins vs 30% bills.

How much do we think Chiefs @ Bills tickets will go for in the divisional round ?

For many years, the Bills played the 'Phins in Miami early in the season and then hosted them in the winter. I liked that arrangement until the Miami stadium sunshine advantage came into play. I like this even better - we avoid the heat and still get a "home game" against them in the winter.

I wonder if the clear advantage they got in last year's early game affected the league's decision to flip-flop the home and away games.

They flip flop them every year, at least in recent history. Next fall the Bills will be in the sun again. Unfortunately I don't think the league gives a flip about the unfair advantage (and severe health risks) those conditions present. The Bills can't put up sun shades unless the other team does (ridiculous League rules), and of course the Dolphins are already in the shade so they don't need them; thus they're denying the Bills to do so.

Should be low 70's/high 60's by gametime. We're in a cold spell down here

Even if the game had remained at 1 PM, the high is predicted to be 74.

Apparently you’ve never seen or been to a Bills-Fish game in Miami before.

No I haven't.  I get that there is always a good turn out of Bills fans but to say there will be more Bills fans in the stands for basically a home playoff game for the Dolphins in ages is a bit of a stretch.  I remember two seasons ago they were reporting tht Billsmafia was supposed to have like 75% of the seats in Nashville but it sure didn't sound like that during the game.  I learned these type of reports overexaggerate sometimes so I'll believe it when I see it.👍

I don’t know what will happen Sunday, but I’ve been at “road games” where there were clearly more Bills fans than home fans. It’s a pretty cool feeling. We travel well, and have the “advantage” of having people move from WNY to places all over the country. Heck! Go to a tailgate at a game in OP and look at how many people came from more than a couple hours away. It’s a LOT!
