Why not just sign him in free agency then for free? I don't necessarily disagree, but Sweat is in theory good enough to merit a franchise tag. He's a very good player at a premium position. There is no way they are tagging Sweat on top of that or giving him a giant contract. They would have been eating half the cap on their D-Line almost.
