Israel and the Slaughter in Gaza

We do.  I believe the best place to start is attaching lots of strings to money we send to Israel.  Like puppets...They have no self control without it and little decency.  But kidnapping or killing civilians is bad and counterproductive.
See Russia/Ukraine.  btw, anti semitism isn't cool either.

What I said wasnt antisemitism. Just the truth. Americans only see one side to the story.

Neither side is right. The whole thing is sad, and will not end well.

Please explain to me how Iran not having the $6 billion means that they were able to do this attack because they had the $6 billion even though they don’t have it.

I am pointing out that the specific claim that the $6 billion from the deal funded this attack is wrong because Iran has none of that money and none of that money has been spent.

What do you mean they don't have it?  You don't think that Iran has $6B?

are you that uninformed?  this year we were on a cruise ship in port in Jerusalem then Haifa.  Never made it to either.  An Israeli sub accompanied us out of both ports.  Ya think the Palestinians have submarines?

submarines =US support (uge amounts)

a few rockets and slingshots = no US support

were pulling the wrong strings....

Maybe you should be paying attention.  The US has been supporting Israel for decades.  Because they're a small country surrounded by hostile Muslim countries who have actually stated they want to eliminate.  The only puppets are you libs who are being told to support the Palestinians because the Israeli government is right-leaning.

They don’t.

Iran as a country doesn't have $6B, or they don't physically have the $6B in (to them) found money the US just gave to them?  Not that it would take anywhere close to $6B to fund Hamas.

This is not going to end well for anyone. Some of the scenes coming out of the region are just horrific. Civilians and soldiers hostages of Palestians and being paraded around. Saw a women get dragged around by her hair.

This isn't a war...

Not sure what this this means.

Submarines accompanying cruise ships have no military significance.

The reality is as it has always been.

Iran funds Hamas. Hamas runs this to the 50 year anniversary of Yom Kippur.

Nothing changes.

And if anything, I'd figure the subs preventing docking at those ports did it out of safety for the cruise passengers.

So what's your take?  You would be more in the know.

The $6 billion of Iran’s money that was part of the deal is in Doha and remains unused and not in the possession or control of Iran.

It means we cleared customs at Haifa, where I took pics of this golden dome of some religious group with an amazing garden on the hillside from the top deck.  And we never made it past customs.  They turned us around because another war was starting then.  I don't think it was a tribute to Old Notre Dame.  Anywho, There were many ships being escorted.  Do you believe hamas has subs?  Do u think the Israeli ones are  nuclear?

"While our loyal faculty lie drunk on the barroom flloor...Rah,rah,rah"

So this brings back memories when I subscribed to mad magazine.  Sung to this melody:

Cheer, Cheer for Spiro Today

He can Unite the Whole USA

Impudent snobs and left wing freaks

Should he lose then he can star in

All in the Family!

I think they're more likely to complain about the money we released to Iran, which likely funded a lot of this operation.

I'm inclined to agree with them on that point.

How long can you keep a fish in a wet hankie? 2 million people in a 140 Mike square area?

16 years is a long time.

How could Israel NOT see this coming?

zoom...splain.

I read somewhere that they busted out and the Hamas commander told the people basically you got a gun, leave, this is chance at an historic day. Yikes!

Boy, that was festering.

"...Gaza is one of the most densely packed places in the world, an isolated coastal enclave of almost 2 million people crammed into 140 square miles.

Governed by Hamas, the territory is largely cut off from the rest of the world by an Israeli blockade of Gaza’s land, air and sea dating back to 2007. Egypt controls Gaza’s southern border crossing, Rafah.

Israel has placed heavy restrictions on the freedom of civilian movement and controls the importation of basic goods into the narrow coastal strip. ..."

How could that have possibly been a plan?  To keep 2 million people imprisoned for 16 years? Of all nations... Israel!

What's happening now is truly horrific, the kind of pressure the people in Gaza have been put under though makes it feel as though Israel decided to huddle around a bomb.

Like New Orleans before Katrina. 8 feet below sea level and the levees 10 feet to low.

Yeah... I agree... What the ***** were they thinking.  At least with a natural disaster it doesn't have a birth rate as a ticking time bomb! The kids rushing the border now were born there trapped. /smdh...

You think Chicago is bad now? 😆

Just to put it into perspective.  Gaza is 141 sq.miles. Chicago is 234 sq.miles.

16,000 people per square mile in Gaza. 12,000 in Chicago per square mile.

Now... Imagine this.  Holding the people in Chicago for 16 years with limited goods and services.

And they share a border with Indiana which is basically Egypt🇪🇬 😆.

You wanna live in Lake Forest, Illinois... OR Barrington... Have at it!

You steal people's homes, their land, and enslave them in their own country for decades, where they, there parents, there grandparents, there great grand parents were born. Millions of people. What do you think is going to happen?

People here are brainwashed. The idea that Israel is a peaceful country being attacked by terrorists is a joke.

Who has more rights, Palestinians in Israel or Jews in the majority of the Middle East countries? The fact that you believe that Israel has to be pure of spirit to be the clearly freer country for minorities and in most every way that Americans hold dear is simply dumb.

Aren't Jews like Jets, Mets, & Nets fans? They historically never had a majority in any place until 1948.

They definitely had the majority in the middle of the Middle East 2000 years ago. But you are correct with that middle millennia or so, if you want to count it😁

Not sure.

There is no reason to escort a cruise ship with a submarine.

You can simply deny them port entry.

End of story.

Further, I'm not sure how a cruise ship gets to Jerusalem, but that's another issue.

It would have to dock away from the city and have folks transported over land.

Yes, we had to drive to Jerusalem in a bus. Kinda what they do on cruises. We made land in Haifa and they turned us around after clearing customs. What’s so difficult to comprehend?  In whatever port we stopped to visit Jerusalem they turned us around before we hit customs. There were f’n missiles blowing up. It’s insane.

so @sherpa do they have nuc subs in Israel?  Pakistan?  India?  Iran?  Korea? Australia ?  Who did they buy them from?  Should we want a rational, clever, stable prez to guide us?  Geez this is real life “Risk”…
