He starts some of his answers with "Yeah, no....." And sometimes, "No, yeah......" I know a lot of folks have little quirks with the way they speak, but this just sticks out to me. Logic Posted August 16, 2023 Share Posted August 16, 2023 Don't look now, but Andy Isabella seems to have a very real shot at not only making this roster, but playing real snaps on offense. Shakir hasn't seized the slot role. Harty seems to have a specialty/gadget/WR4 niche. The staff seems to like Sherfield at outside WR more than the slot. Meanwhile, Isabella keeps earning praise from coaches and players and climbing the depth chart. He was a 2nd round pick. He's physically talented. He's fast and twitchy. He has roster value as a returner. Still just 26 years old. Might be a perfect fit for what is asked of the slot WR in the E-P offense that the Bills run. Could happen for sure. that said, I think they’ll keep the 5th rd investment over him and try and sneak him on the ps. But if shakir keeps dropping passes, maybe, just maybe. I'm not persuaded, but then again --- I'm not persuaded that Torrance will be starting at RG and so forth I agree that Shakir hasn't seized the slot role, but I think where Sherfield was playing vs the Colts was a function of Diggs being out and Sherfield "next man up" there, vs. the Bills not liking him in the slot. Joe B points out that the "first man up" when the Bills put 11 personnel on the field was actually Deonte Harty, and his day was done earlier than Shakir, so I do think the Bills like him as more than "gadget guy" and may see both Sherfield and Harty as ahead of Shakir. 1 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

With his versatility as a returner, I like keeping him on the roster.
