Live and let live you say?

We should celebrate groups from all walks of life.

Really, should we? From all walks of life, huh...

So @L Ron Burgundy @SUNY_amherst @Gene Frenkle @The Frankish Reich

Do you support groomer pedophile organizations?

Yes you do.

You gotta love the masturbatory fantasies of this particular poster. Does anyone spend a higher percentage of his time browsing images of these things? Every man hates what he has to deny.

(And then tagging people he pretends to ignore is just special)

I’ll put you down as pro child grooming.

I would go so far as saying they’re the dregs of society.

Well, you fell here in some right-wing propaganda trap. From Forbes, regarding the Pride Night game:

"The Dodgers recorded an attendance of 49,074, slightly higher than its league-leading average of 47,800."

Fact check on his original post:  Mostly true.

The Dodgers did indeed move the ceremony honoring a disgusting anti-Catholic hate group to well before the game when hardly any fans would be in the stands.

Their Friday Night attendance is always higher than the other nights

Well, this is true. I will even acknowledge that the attendance last night was less than Pride Night a year ago or the regular attendance on Friday nights; these numbers are around 52,000. Thus, the attendance yesterday was about 6% less than normal. However, the pic shown by right-wing bloggers and in Big Blitz' post suggests that there is less than 10% attendance while the stadium "should be packed". And this is clearly propaganda.

Lol what?  I wanted to post the tweet about the song.  I knew what attendance for the game was I included tweets in context re what happened pre game.

That post was not a “look how few people showed up” post.

Well, then next time you should make this clearer. Your post essentially contained 4 tweets, and the one you claim was most important to you was buried as number 2 our of 4.

Pro sports with too many lawyers, too many marketing people decided to enter the politics of racism, minority projects, majority projects, religious views, etc etc. They justify by being good citizens.

Bull poop.

Sports was one of the few places you can go without all the hoopla.

It was the place since Jackie Robinson that uniforms made everyone equal. Cheering was not affected by race, color creed or sexuality. Our lives were impacted.

Now we are are endangering this wonderful neutral ground. Where we all shared commonality.

There were people who had their life views changed by Thurman, Brruuuce, Jimbo, Marv and many others through their actions and mutual love and respect.

Celebrating any of them because of color, sexuality, religion etc would be wrong. Celebrating them because of who they proved to be as humans, team mates and citizens brings us together.

Teams can encourage commonality, they can encourage respect but entering the politics of this in anyway is 100% wrong.

.

We have a new leader in the Dumbest Hot Take of 2023 contest.

It's called Chavez Ravine.

ra·vine rə-ˈvēn

Synonyms of ravine

: a small narrow steep-sided valley that is larger than a gully and smaller than a canyon and that is usually worn by running water

Ravine flooding generally occurs with excessive seasonal rainfall. The end result is the overflowing of riverbanks or the rise in lake levels at the ravine or river mouth.

Can't wait for Pizzagate's take on the next hurricane to slam into Florida.

Aerial photos showed the area surrounding the ballpark in Chavez Ravine completely submerged, a stunning sight in an area that rarely gets enough rain to affect games.

There have been only 17 postponements in the history of Dodger Stadium, most coming in April, but the arrival of Hilary -- the first tropical cyclone to make landfall in California since 1939 -- forced the league to shift schedules for the Dodgers, Angels, and Padres.

I apologize. You are correct.

List of plagues visited on the heathens (recent memory):

1. Maui wildfire. Hawaii democrats to blame.

2. Missouri tornadoes. God enjoys Drag Queen Story Hour and let 'em know it in no uncertain terms.

3. Vermont flooding. Come on. This one's obvious. Ben and Jerry's rainbow ice cream, etc.

I predict God will show his anti-DeSantis bias by bringing a hurricane next month, forcing Ron back into his kinky white boots as retribution for all that anti-Disney stuff (God likes Disney too). He may even spend a night at Mar-a-Lago disguised as Hurricane Melania.

This is fun!

More, please.

I should offer my services.

But really: look at the original post (coming from Pizzagate Fool) blaming the flooding of Dodger Stadium on their LGBT day. And that was presumably offered up as a serious take on a news event, the old "God is punishing the heathens."

I did. It’s worth an eye-roll. That someone would turn it into an unfunny screed is what I find more interesting.

Do stupid things, win stupid prizes.

i.e. Build Doger Stadium in Chavez RAVINE.

There's a really good documentary about how the Dodgers, with government support, essentially forcibly displaced a hispanic community that used to live there in order to build their stadium and it surrounding parking lots.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Chavez_Ravine

This after screwing over the people of Brooklyn.

I will always hate the Dodgers ...

It was before my time but wasn't Robert Moses the one who screwed over Brooklyn. Walter O'Malley was looking into building a new ballpark in Brooklyn to replace aging Ebbets Field, but Moses wanted them to go to Queens which became the future home of the Mets. When O'Malley realized he wasn't getting a new ballpark in Brooklyn then he started to think about moving the team out of NY.

I think you're right. It was the era of urban redevelopment and a lot of those mega projects really had no concern for the fate of the existing neighborhoods, etc. As the documentary shows, O'Malley was more of an opportunist when LA politicians came calling, promising a brighter future on the west coast.

They weren’t prepared for Hurricanes Ian and Nicole.

They still aren’t prepared for the out of control inflation and insurance rates.

Florida is a disaster under DeSaster.
