Wow, shadows may be an enormous issue, especially for 1:00 pm games early in the season.  The old studium rarely had a shadow issue.  Some places, like Indy, Atlanta, and strangely, Minneapolis, have such overbearing shadows that whole portions of the game are almost impossible to watch.  I hope they took this into account in laying out the field, otherwise, people will be very upset after paying a fortune for a PSL.

The HORRORS!!!

Also known as a dome.

I don’t know about that.  The shadow poster cited at least two domed/covered stadiums (Minnesota and Atlanta). I’ve been at Minnesota’s stadium and didn’t notice a problem with shadows.

Dallas definitely has a sunshine problem.

Well western NY tends to have a "lack of sunshine" problem during football season.

Last time I went that route I reached Brian Wilson bed bound do nothing level, but it didn’t last as long as he did it for. Contrary to how it looks, it’s really hard work.

Oh I know this all too well. Let me tell you about the night I drank a 750 ml full bottle of Crown, and a quarter of another bottle, took a cab home, and when I walked back into the bar the next night, the bartender looks at me and says "You're still alive?"

That must have been one expensive bar tab

This dude thought me drinking crown was a circus act, so he paid for everything. I wasn't complaining.

I genuinely dont understand how billion dollar projects with very intelligent engineers do not foresee these problems.

Its part of the reason why im skeptical when people assume that the Bills stadium engineers have thought of some of the potential issues we bring up.

There is a workaround that they use for events there. Basically, very large blackout curtains. But Jerrah, for whatever reason, doesn’t allow them to be used during Cowboys games. 🤷‍♂️

God still needs to be able see the Cowboys play, apparently.

Completed canopy 360 view

I believe it’s going to be a nice venue with updated amenities and great site lines, but aesthetically, it’s just ugly.
The dipsy-doodle canopy looks like a deflated bicycle tire.  I do wonder if the shadows will play tricks with TV cameras.
For me, the current stadium is more majestic, and just prettier- having a bit of the look of a traditional college football stadium.
For $2.2B they could have built something with a bit more style on the facade.

None of the facade has been hung yet so I’m not sure how we can critique it or are you just going by previously released artist renderings?

Well, first of all, we don’t even know what the end result will look like unless you’re just basing your comments off prior renderings.  But that said, wow, I couldn’t disagree more.  I think it already looks cool, and will wind up being a modern building with a cool industrial-like vibe that fits a former steel city perfectly.  I am 100% certain the engineers addressed sunlight and how that moves across the stadium during September-January, and either it won’t be a factor or it’s going to be to the Bills’ advantage.

I have great memories of Rich/Ralph/Highmark but to me, it looks like a bush league venue now.  Can’t wait for this massive upgrade.
