A source with knowledge of Thiel's relationship to the FBI, whose identity is known to Insider but who insisted on anonymity, corroborated Johnson's account, telling Insider that Johnson brokered a relationship between Thiel and Buma. Insider was able to confirm through an additional source that the FBI added Thiel to its formal roster of registered informants.

Another source close to Thiel told Insider that while they could not confirm that Thiel was a CHS, Thiel did speak to Buma occasionally. The source said that any assistance Thiel might have provided to the FBI should be understood as part of Thiel's gradual distancing of himself from Trump and the broader MAGA movement, which has vigorously criticized the FBI and other federal law-enforcement agencies.

Thiel is a citizen of Germany, the United States, and New Zealand; as of last year,  he was reportedly in the process of acquiring yet another passport, from Malta. In 2016, he donated $1.25 million to Trump's campaign and endorsed him from the stage at the Republican National Convention. After Trump won, Thiel served on his transition team.

Johnson, who said that he was also an informant for Buma, told Insider that he believes that Thiel's reporting to the FBI was largely limited to foreign contacts and attempts by foreign governments to penetrate Silicon Valley. Thiel has publicly called on the FBI to investigate Google's ties to the Chinese government.

Thiel, Johnson said, was directed by the FBI not to report on his interactions with Donald Trump or other US political figures.

Another instance where farmers just read the headline and roll with it.

Dummy...that means the FBI didn't want to show their hand with Thiel as a wildcard.  R U really this dumb?  They didn't want him or Johnson threatened or dead.  There's this groovy pic of Johnson with Gaetz and his wife....

from the AP on Powell:

Powell, who was charged alongside Trump and 17 others with violating the state’s anti-racketeering law, entered the plea just a day before jury selection was set to start in her trial. She pleaded guilty to six misdemeanors accusing her of conspiring to intentionally interfere with the performance of election duties.

As part of the deal, she will serve six years of probation, will be fined $6,000 and will have to write an apology letter to Georgia and its residents. She also agreed to testify truthfully against her co-defendants at future trials.

On Thursday, Daysha Young, an assistant Fulton County district attorney, indicated that Powell had given a video statement about the case, which was recorded Wednesday night, and that she would be sharing documents related to the Georgia investigation with the district attorney’s office. Young did not indicate the scope of what those documents cover.

No she didn't.

and THAT is the point.

You apparently didn't read the post  (or did read and can't understand) earlier explaining why the prosecutors dropped her 7 charges down to misdemeanors.

Otherwise you could explain why someone who was guilty of trying to "overturn the presidential election"  was just given 6 month probation sentence.

But, I know facts can't deter your fixation.

Sad.

The point isn't what she pleaded to because by pleading to misdemeanors, it shows that she is now likely to be on the prosecutors list of witnesses. That's what cutting a deal means.

Sidney Powell is absolutely innocent.

The fact that Fani Willis dropped all 7 felonies tells the tale.

She had no case, but she did have the coercive power of the state.

Criminal prosecution is crushing, and it has become clear

that juries are no longer the protection to unjust prosecution

they were created to be.

Juries in these Democrat strongholds convict political opponents.

It’s that chilling and simple. And the process of a trial alone is, as I say, crushing.

She hasn’t “flipped.” She has made the right decision for herself and her family.

The rest of us should be very afraid, though.

Why should any successful lawyer put his or her head

above the foxhole in future election struggles if the weaponized state

can manufacture crimes to destroy them after the fact?

My heart is heavy, because Sidney is a wonderful patriot and did not commit any crime.

But I am also happy she can be done with this

and come home to all of us who love her and can’t wait to hug her.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/22/politics/trump-anthony-pratt/index.html

Pratt then recalled Trump’s description of his December 2019 call with Iraqi President Barham Salih. According to Pratt, Trump said, “The president of Iraq called me up and said, ‘You just leveled my city. … I said to him, ‘OK, what are you going to do about it?’”

The recordings also indicate that Trump spoke with Pratt about his now-infamous September 2019 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in which Trump pressured Zelensky to help him win the 2020 election by publicly launching unfounded corruption probes into Joe Biden. That phone call formed the basis of Trump’s first impeachment.

“That was nothing compared to what I usually do,” Trump told Pratt about the Zelensky call, according to the tape. “That’s nothing compared to what we usually talk about.”

The new recordings also shed light on Pratt’s candid, private thoughts about Trump’s behavior. It’s unclear who Pratt was speaking to, but Pratt said in one tape that Trump “says outrageous things nonstop,” and compared his business practices to “the mafia.”

“He knows exactly what to say — and what not to say — so that he avoids jail. But gets so close to it that it looks to everyone like he’s breaking the law,” Pratt said in one tape.

and stupid people admire this human POS...

Chesebro even suggested that part of the rationale for advancing far-fetched legal arguments was to instill in the Supreme Court “fear that there will be ‘wild’ chaos on Jan. 6 unless they rule by then, either way.” Stoking fear of violence hardly qualifies as legitimate legal advice. Moreover, Chesebro’s appearance on Jan. 6, 2021, alongside Infowars host Alex Jones confirms he was not acting as a lawyer but rather, as Willis alleged, a player in a “criminal enterprise” (under RICO law) to subvert the election.

The Powell and Chesebro pleas should have Trump quaking in his boots. “Trump’s illegitimate assault on the outcome of the 2020 election stood on two legs: the factual assertion that he had actually won and the legal claim that he had the right to use false electoral certificates to have Vice President Pence change the outcome in Congress on Jan. 6,” Norm Eisen, counsel for the writers of the amicus brief described above, told me. “With the guilty plea of Sidney Powell, the first [former lawyer] was knocked out from under the former president. Now, with the guilty plea of Kenneth Chesebro, the second has also fallen away.” In short, Eisen thinks, “Trump is toast.”

I’d best most GOP electeds and officials also hate Trump but they are all craven cowards.
