He was NOT trying to overturn an election. Just because you keep saying something, it doesn’t make it true.

Then what was the purpose of Jan 6?

Why the need for fake electors?

How the Trump fake electors scheme became a ‘corrupt plan,’ according to the indictment

It’s hilarious to watch these guys twist themselves into pretzels.

I’ll ask it a different way. Are we under martial law? Does Trump still live on Pennsylvania Avenue? No…he doesn’t. Do you know why?

it's true on it's face.  Wait til they call Pence and Barr to testify to it.  They've already said it publicly and repeatedly to investigators but not under oath in a nationally televised trial.  Even after that you'll cling to this lie.  but it is a tactic used by trump.  Stephanie Grisham has said that trump often told her that if you repeat a lie enough times it becomes truth.

Assume you're correct. Could Trump have failed any more significantly than he did? Fred Flintstone with a flagpole? For Pete's sake!!!

Just stop….he was NOT trying to overturn an election.

He said he was and he was imploring everyone to help him.

Sometimes you appear to be reasonable, but that statement of yours is incorrect.

He even said that America should get rid of the Constitution.

Hawk…he wasn’t trying to ‘overturn an election’. He’s trying to use the parliamentary levers at his disposal to have the election certified in his favor. There’s a HUGE difference!

Fake electors are parliamentary levers?

Because Trump failed to accomplish his goal.

Should someone who attempted to rob a bank not be arrested because they failed?

Supporters of Trump are still in outrage mode - “this is just.a weaponization of the DOJ to stop him from running,” etc. etc. etc.

The rest of the country has moved on to the accountability phase.  After he fails to win the Presidency in 2024, Trump’s humiliation phase will kick in, where he is tied up in the courts and drained financially for several years.  After (and during) that, the downfall will come - his donations will dry up, his wife and family will ostracize him, any remaining supporters in Congress will wash their hands of him, and he will be completely outcast from any semblance of decent American society.  He will become such a pariah that he will probably have to flee to Russia.

The indictments this year are just an early chapter in the book of Trump’s overall disgrace, and his affairs are going to spiral downward in stunning fashion.

sure hope you're right. an interesting comment from Barr yesterday was that he's taking money for his defense from poor and middle class people while claiming he's a billionaire, implying that he may not be.

Prove that he was.  Good luck.

"Doc", why do you want his crimes to go unpunished?  Why do you want lawlessness?   Do you win or at least improve your situation in that scenario?  See some opportunities there, "Doc"?

there was an urban legend about a patient stealing a script pad, writing "one kilo mopheen" on a script and trying to get it filled at a pharmacy.  She was arrested.  Presumably you argue that she shouldn't have been.   Do you?

And you don’t believe that democrats have told lies that resulted in violence?

This is about what Trump did, if you can't site proper precedence then lets have it. As it is you are simply repeating the silly Fox news cud you heard

Considering that he was told multiple times and that there appears to be proof he admitted it which will or will not come out at trial....

Your defense of him seems to be that he's a moron.

While I agree he's a moron, he is also a sociopath, because he is incapable of experiencing guilt. He has said that no one knows more than him on scores of topics.

Do you believe what he says in the video?

Have you ever known of any human being who has ever said similar things?

In real life, let's say at work or in a social setting, you met someone who said these things to you, you know you'd think he's the single biggest idiot and ahole you had ever met.

How can you then want him in charge of everything?

Yes, he was using the levers available to him.

Still waiting….Does anyone recall how Obamacare was passed?

What in god’s holy name are you blathering about?

The Senate passed the ACA 60-39 on 12/24/2009.

The House passed the same bill 219-212 on 3//21!2010.

Obama signed the bill into law 3/23/2010.

Fake electors are not legal, so they cannot be levers anymore than shooting someone can be a lever. Fake electors are part of the conspiracy that Trump and some others are charged with. It's a felony charge.

As people get sentenced for that, you can then explain to us that you know better than the laws.
