The problem with this is if Hopkins isn't moved during the Draft, Beane is going to take a WR and probably high. In which case, Hopkins will be out. Beane isn't going to pass on the position hoping he can get a deal done with Hopkins after. He could be left empty handed and at best, in a poor negotiating position. Because you're not going to take a guy in Round 1 and then trade for Hopkins, making your 1st Round pick a #3 for years to come.
