Drafting Jameson Williams will make us unstoppable

I like this general line of thinking.

A big, physical WR who can fly can single handedly impact our wins total more easily than any other position except QB....and we already have that...but I still fear these guys will draft a F-ing Defensive lineman or some other wasted pick that demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding of value.

Would LOVE to see impact offensive weapon picks with our top pick or picks.

Olave would be my pick if he's there. Why take Williams, who couldn't beat him out, if the better route runner and better hands are available.

SPEED !! we are in win now mode, we can always get better route runners later.

I like the idea, but am concerned that the severity of his injury may preclude him from ever having the same game-breaking ability that he showed in college.

He'll be fine , with todays technology they can rebuild him. (6 million dollar man theme song 😄 )

Agreed. If the evaluation is comparable, why take a guy who’s injured, especially at that position?

Hate to break it to ya... this team is looking at CB's now that Levi is a Steeler

Of course they are, but there’s still every likelihood they go WR in the first and CB in the second…it will all depend how the board falls…

I’m partial to Calvin Austin in the 2nd, CB in the 1st...

Just any corner and only one specific WR?  Sorry…don’t agree. You don’t just take a corner in the first because of need. That player has to have the right skill set and be the right fit first and foremost. Waiting until the end of the second is a dangerous spot if you are targeting one specific player. Let the board fall. If a WR you like is there in round one, then take him.

Drafting for need is how we ended up with EJ Manuel.

If his medical checks out I really doubt he is going to fall to us. We can hope.  I'd like Chris Olave and put him in the slot and boom we have an insanely fast slot guy. Go cb in round 2 and guard round 3 and we are loaded.

I agree. He will only fall if there isn’t a good report. If he is ahead of schedule then someone will take him before us. He’s gonna be really good.

I think I’d rather have Dotson than olave. Dotson has the best hands in the draft and isn’t afraid of catching the ball in traffic. There are concerns about Olave and his lack of physicality.
