Just checked WTI price  $86.24 a barrel down from $120 early June.  Maybe time to ease back from strategic reserve.

Yes.  Let’s go back to $5/gallon.  You should run for President.  You’d fit right in with the morons currently in the WH.  What a mess.

Interesting how this thread is no longer active ...

I paid $3.18/gallon to fill up my car yesterday (Costo, Colorado).

Oh, and I paid all of $13 for 6 chicken breasts for dinner.

And then my wife and I went to a movie on $3 cinema night.

So I guess Bidenomics is working?

The market is working

Gas is up over 50% since Biden took over and the movie ticket promo is for one day. As for the chicken breast, $2 a lb is a good price for boneless breasts and I like Costco so good for them.

I spent 12.95 for an large sub at Jimmy John's.

No wait.....it was another $2.50 - FOR CHEESE

After taxes, $17.10

Fyi...

Our electric bills are up 25 to 40 percent across the country - those of you wondering if your AC is broke.  No.  Call your local electric company.  They'll tell you - no you're not doing anything different.  It's inflation.FYI...

I'm pretty much done reliving daily pain in this thread.  But I hope you enjoyed your $3 movie.

Which is 1/3 the cost of popcorn at the theater.

Correct.

I'm just making the rhetorical point: if Biden is largely to blame for the rise in gas prices, then he must be largely credited with the fall.

Except they're still a lot higher than when he took office.  But he never took responsibility for that while taking credit for them going down.

Bernie and the Gang got exactly what they wanted: rising lower tier wages. Unfortunately we ALL got exactly what everyone correctly predicted…much, much higher cost of goods and services.  I can only hope that nobody listens to that old socialist lunatic ever again.

So you are saying that Bernie gave us higher prices? How so?

Not saying that all. I’m saying that Bernie  preached that raising wages would help the lower class…and it didn’t….just like so many of us rightly predicted. He’s an idiot.

Simple. way more than I did a few years ago. like double.

happens every time DEMAND is artificially increased.

All this spending lately should really help bring it all back down.

Anyone else seen the price of home energy.

Even in Video games one knows an embargo must be complete.

More money to people would hurt them?

Depends if/how the more money take home is as much as the more money they need for everything.

I dont know if the extra 50 bucks in the paycheck helps when rent goes up 400 and groceries double.

Never mind how it puts everyone that was making 50% over minimum, at the wage floor.

And again they are loosing while the GDP and unemployment numbers show growth so the party can claim a win.

What was the WTI in 2018 & 19 & why did it go up so much things were full bore then if i remember correctly every body was working every body was traveling using as much fuel as it took & it was still lower then than now .

Plus to add to it my electric bill has increased from last year using the exact same amount of appliances to $40 more a month & my use hasn't changed but something has what might that be ?

And the strategic reserve was full & they weren't pulling anything from there . Just looking for a reasonable common sense answer as to why . Thanks !
