5 super bowl rings and just coached a first round pick to the best rookie season of the draft despite being viewed as firmly before 3 others.

Not saying I think he'll be good, especially given the track record of BB assistants,  but he's been very successful.

Matt Patricia, Eric Mangini, Romeo Crennel, etc have all been successful in NE.  That's not saying much, particularly when we've already seen part 1 & 1/2 of McDaniels as a head coach.

To go deal Mahomes and Herbert?

My comment was more tongue in cheek and a compliment to Josh. And slight to Jones.

But…to call his own shots? Sure, why not. Same reason Daboll would even consider the Dolphins. AFC is loaded with young QBs that you aren’t avoiding no matter the division, with exception to AFC South. Depending on how you feel about Lawrence. Also, Raiders roster isn’t a tire fire. Carr is underwhelming to me, but you can do worse. Better than Jones. Who knows, they have connections to Easterby and Caserio. Maybe they go make a move for Watson. That roster with Watson is a contender with a few tweaks to the supporting cast.

I thought he was one of the worst head coaches ever in Denver.  I'd rather have Dick Jauron.

Apparently, time has dimmed your memories of how bad "Play Not to Lose By Too Much" Jauron was as the Bills HC.

If the Bills lose Daboll and Dorsey, O'Brien wouldn't be a bad option at OC...

McDaniels has been with NE for all six SB titles.

And given how BB looked bad as the head coach of the Browns and people were wondering why the Jets and Patriots wanted him to be their head coach, I get why a team would talk themselves into giving McDaniels another shot.

And the Raiders love offensive minded head coaches...

McDaniel's indentured servitude is not over yet for Belichick.

He probably figures he's got the New England job when Bill leaves which all things considered isn't bad if they can get Mac Jones some help at WR.

I’ll see it when i believe it. But interesting.

Lol the word is if he is gone the. Scott O,Brien takes over and since he was i

at Alabama with Mac he may even help him develop faster.

That said I am fine with McDaniels leaving IMO his play calling is way to predictable.

Bill O'Brien never coached Mac at Alabama

Lmao I said Scott lol.. point is he is at Alabama and he ran the Pats O the last time McDaniels left. He would be the logical replacement. (Alabama runs the same O this year as they did with Jones)
