Yup...the science is clear...the pandemic is over...people shouldn’t feel a need for mandates anymore, unless there are ulterior motives at play imo- in which case, this protest means a whole lot more than just mandates... Now, is it possible that a few fringe elements, with ulterior motives, might see this situation as an opportunity, and take advantage of the moment? It’s never really been about the virus. It’s about power and corruption. The Democratic Party I grew up with and was a member of, would have embraced this protest against racism and tyranny. Instead we (D) let the morally bankrupt politicians and there mentally challenged supporters like billstime and tibs take control. I don’t think the Democratic Party can ever recover from this. If the far left on this board really cared about the workers, they would be supporting this movement. But just like POC, they recognize them only when they need to be re-elected. Niagara Bill Posted February 13, 2022 Share Posted February 13, 2022 These has been great protests, slightly confusing over the issue, but the longer it lasts the more it becomes apparent that Trudeau has been terrible communicator, especially to those on the fringe of support. A real trail out of these rules needs to be clear. The best is the peaceful nature, with a few exceptions. Thank goodness that horrid groups like BLM have stayed home. With no violence and looting the protesters have made considerable political points with the population and politicians. Congrats to them. Congrats to the relationship between civil citizens and the police.
