No. just NO.... anyone saying they were gonna get blown out by the jets was stupid for saying it then and looks even more stupid now. hands down. Thats a completely irrational, knee jerk reaction. Cant take anyone serious after a statement like that.

so that pats are winning the division this year?

Also LOL at anyone calling a 6-4 squad a beast. Wont surprise me one bit if they head down to ATL this weekend and lose.

The Pats are not “beasts” lol. Are they playing very good football? Yes! Have they looked dominant the last 4 games? Yes..

The fact for me is I know who my Pats team is. A good team with the potential be great in the near future. I based that on how well they have done against the true SB contenders in Dallas, and TB as well as a playoff team in Cleveland.  As for your Bills, I don’t know what they are capable of yet because outside of the game against TN I have not seen them face any tough team. (KC was a mess when you faced them) I think we will have a good idea after the next 4 games who the Bills truly are.

I cant disagree with anything you just said about the Pats. Seems fair.... I dont see them taking the division this year.

what does last season has to do with this season? On top of the fact they are totally two different teams. With two totally different rosters.

totally?

What did 20 years have to say about history?

I remember very confident Bill fans saying THIS was the year and then getting demolished. Did it mean they were wrong in being confident? No because every team is different..

Yes unfortunately based on both teams body of work thus far I have 100% confidence going on record saying that as of today I believe the Pats will win the division. They just have that look of a team that isn't going to lose again this (regular) season and a few plays are the difference between them being 9-1 right now.

Keep in mind this doesn't mean the Bills still can't be very good in their own right and do what they need to come playoff time as a wildcard but there's no way i'm betting against Belichik given the aforementioned track record and having competent QB play at his disposal again.

Also worth noting that Mac Jones was graded out by PFF exactly the same as JA17 yesterday (mind you against a much better team than the Jets) for those saying he's just a game manager or rookie.

demolished by whom

 certainly not the Pats***

If you read the post I quoted he was talking about 20 years of dominance.. it sure want the Bills winning then but the fans were still confident and cocky. Which is the way it should be no matter the outcome of the game.

Until Jones shows me he can beat secondaries deep I'm not too worried. He greatly depends on the run game to keep him in 3rd and manageable and the defense for favorable field position. Not hating, it's what they ask of him and he does it well. Don't know how sustainable that plan will be when they play tougher teams deeper in the season. I want to see him carry the team on his back when the burden is solely on him.

I knew they would be better this year if their defense could take a step forward and they got the run game going.

Well, here we are.

I still think Buffalo has the better roster, is the better team and will wind up on top of the AFC East when the season is finished.

This is a rather old take. I mean just last week against a good Cleveland D he completed 6 out of 7 passes 20+ yards in the air. The one he missed Agalor stopped running or it been 7 for 7.  Also in the last 4 games his percentage of completions deep has gone way up.

You are right they do rely on the run game but that’s because you DON’T want a rookie to have to play hero ball but within themselves and minimize mistakes…

You wanna go through the roster again....snippets

Cam is not here, their wide outs were Damiere Bryd, N'Keal Harry, TEs Devin Asiasi, Ryan Izzo, DE; Derek Rivers, John Simon..i can go on... Basically there are players who started for this team last year or were in the bills games who are no longer here or are now backups this year. Makes a big difference, and 20 years is a much larger sample than one year(one year is not enough...) so i don't know what that is suppose to mean for this year or these coming years.

and cool do not sweat it...you aren't the players so like the talking heads your feeling for the up and coming games don't really matter. The players gotta play the game, and coaches gotta coach it.

This is something they hold onto and their last ditch effort. He is a rookie they are not asking him to do too much..has nothing to do with his ability has everything to do with how they wanna bring him along. It would of been the same thing if T.Lawrence was here. And Jones has now played 3 top 10 defenses in the league already...unless i missed it... did the bills who are very good on both sides of the ball, but did their defense turned into the 85 bears...or even the 01 Pats? He will continue to be tested of course, but they will prepare him to face his next test as they been doing all season long.

The hype for him is out of control at this point.

What he's doing is impressive - but pretty much what NFL scouts predicted. He was the most pro-ready, the most ready to step in and play exactly like this. It's his ceiling that most doubted.

Maybe they're wrong on that, but he has a long way to go to prove that if it's the case.  The NE line is ridiculous at this point - I watched a lot of that Browns game, and Mac was just chilling in the pocket, surveying the field, taking his time.  No pressure.

Almost any QB can look great in those circumstances.

With all due respect....i wish people will stop with this "hype" stuff. 1. its what talking heads do, and 2. you guys seem to not have a problem with it when GMFB doesn't for your whole entire team? I mean after all this board has been dogging him since the patriots drafted him..so it kind of evens out.

And because you guys may not see much patriots games...their online is not ridiculous good. They are a "path work" line in which he has been getting hit a ton. It's been a topic here locally all season long. The line has played better these past week, but this is not a great line that he has benefitted from.

Split with NE and you have 4 losses.. I can easily see you losing 2 of 3 to TB, Indy, and NO.

I think you underestimate our team and overestimate the rest.  NO has no offense.  Indy is solid but not a real contender.  TB is the toughest of the 3 but they havent been doin well as of late either.

PFF had him graded exactly the same as JA17 yesterday.

It's simply a myth at this point that Mac Jones is just dinking and dunking and playing ball control football. He's not and he's making elite throws all over the field and will only get more confident as the Pats keep winning.

He's the clear cut rookie of the year front runner and if the Pats keep winning and his stellar play continue it's not out of the realm of possibility he moves into the MVP discussion.

I've moved past mild concern to serious concern over the Patriots and no rational fan can say the Bills are playing better right now just because we smashed another pathetic team with a QB that had less than a handful of starts yesterday.

Pats are a very complete team and Mac Jones is not a game manager for those who have been paying attention in recent weeks. The metrics say he's been playing at an elite level which is insane giving the circumstances as a rookie QB.

Not going to be the popular opinion here but at this point I think the Pats cruise to the division this year given their remaining schedule and best case will be splitting with them and securing the top WC spot as the #5 seed.

What metrics shows he is playing at an elite level?  Please dont say PFF.

I think most Bills fans are still overlooking one important factor and his name is Bill Belichek.

There is a reason why McDermott was 0-6 against him prior to last season and we all know that it took lucky late game fumble on Cam Newton in the final minutes to hold on and win the first game in Buffalo.

Also this years Pats team resembles the ones during the Brady era that were near invincible to beat in Nov/Dec which is why I've always hated having both games against them late in the season this year.

The Bills could win a superbowl tomorrow and you would still be mr negative pessimistic man
