xsoldier54
Anyone else use Fanspeak? This is my first attempt for this year. I think I did OK. RoyBatty is alive
Pretty good, I would be ok with that, addresses most of your glaring needs. Another TE from Mississippi? Didnt we just try that? Hard to believe Najee Harris lasts almost til rd 3 but RB is certainly been de-emphasized lately.
Bulldog
I realize that team "needs" are a matter of debate - however, unless the OL needs are heavily covered in FA (doubtful) - then I think there may be significant agreement that the OL should be addressed sometime prior to the 6th round. Nice try at the mock draft though ... Edited February 25, 2021 by Bulldog

Nice try at the mock draft though ... Thanks. I did try every round before the sixth to look at OL, but in each round, there were none available that weren't a big reach considering the draft slot. The ones I did select matched up with the value for that round. All the best and thanks for the feedback. 2 minutes ago, Mike in Horseheads said: Almost every mock draft I have seen has Harris going in the 1st round. I know, me too. I tried not to over value tackles because there were none available that matched the draft slots. Any one that I picked would have been a reach, but the OG and C with the ability to play G seemed like good value.
Greg S
Nice attempt but I would address the OL higher than Rd 6. I think Josh's ability to scramble and avoid the rush makes our OL look better than it is. We couldn't run for **** last season. But overall a nice mock draft. My point is that while the OL can always be improved, the Offense was the least of our problems last year, and actually the strength of the team for once. I'd rather keep that as-is and prioritize resources to improve the D where we will get the most bang for our buck (biggest improvement). If we can still use resources to improve the OL, great! It just isnt a major need, imo.

Barmore unrealistically falls to 30. So he’s most likely going to be a better value than any OT. Harris unrealistically falls to 61. Obviously a greater value than an OT. Jabril Cox available @93? Fix our front 7, get someone that when blocked one on one can still get to the QB. I don't evaluate play to play with offensive line but they seem to really like Ford. So I'm going to trust they see something in him. I think Feliciano starts at center next year or is not on the Bills. I don't think they'll pay him at the expected market for him at Guard.

On offense I would like to see them more balanced especially since the Bills are a cold weather team. They need to get better running the ball when the situation calls for it. Late in the game and you want to kill the clock. Picking up a first down on 3rd or 4th and 1. The lack of pass rush is another obvious need. The AFCCG showed that. How Beane does it via FA and or draft I don't care but improving the OL and pass rush is a must. IMHO

All this winning really takes the fun out of mock drafts. It's one thing to have a couple options in mind when picking #10 overall, and it's likely that one or all of them will be available. But picking #30?!? Who frickin knows. Agreed, there is almost no way any of the guys in the first 3 picks here actually makes it to us (especially Cox in the 3rd). But it's tough to say what is reasonable at #30 too.

Meh I think many fans are over exaggerating o-line as a big need. The Bills line was fine last year. Every year in recent memory there have been a few teams with particularly awful o-lines, a couple with elite o-lines, and the rest all middle of the pack. Middle of the pack is where the Bills were last year and these days that's good enough. It's really hard to build a consistently great o-line. If we had the exact same o-line as last year without any changes I wouldn't bat an eye. The one question mark right now is Williams. If we don't bring him back RT is a pretty big need. Even in that context I don't believe o-line is 1st round value unless you're talking about a LT. Sign a couple mid-level starters if needed and draft o-line on day 2 and 3. Keep building the pipeline but don't reach for talent at a position that isn't all that important in the grand scheme of things.

I hear what you are saying, and I’d like to strengthen the front 7 on D and maybe upgrade at #2 CB. BUT, I sure wish we could finish out a game running the ball and moving the chains even when they know what’s coming. I don’t know if it’s the players, the scheme or the emphasis, but we NEED to be able to run the ball. At times we made it look easy, and other times it looked nearly impossible. PLEASE fix that! I think it's hard to find offensive linemen that are good at pass blocking and rush blocking. Given a choice between the two I'll take pass blocking, no question. Lack of speed in the backfield plus the scheme were more responsible for our issues running the ball IMO. As far as our pass blocking we were actually quite good this past season, the Chiefs were really the only team that had our number and again I think that's more of a scheme/preparation issue than talent issue. I think that Zach Moss and Devin Singletary might disagree with the proposition that the OL is “fine”. I have too many memories of either RB being hit or having to elude tacklers in the backfield to think the OL is ok. That being said, I think the pass blocking was decent. 57 minutes ago, BillsFanThru-N-Thru said: So I was trading picks all over the place and this is the draft I ended up with. You'll have a hard job convincing me to go back to Mississippi for an athletically limited guy with mediocre production who struggled to get on the field at Temple before he transferred. I do think he is a pretty solid run blocker. This isn't a good tight end class.
