Zay Jones sighting!!!

Made a really nice TD catch for the Raiders last night.  I didn’t watch much of the game but Zay is a good guy and it’s nice to see him have some success.  Still consider that a pretty significant “miss” by McD (pre-Beane) in the 2nd round but crap happens.  The Bills have moved on with a great WR corps and there’s no reason to hate on the guy.

He has a whopping total of 21 receptions for 162 yards and 1 TD in 12 games played since joining the Raiders. I'd say to get a 5th back was a quality swap.

To be entirely honest, I had completely forgotten about this guy until I heard his name last night. Not hating at all but he has been a major non-factor in his entire career.

I mean, 1 reception for 15 yards and TD on 1 target ain't nothin', but it could also be the "no one expected that guy to be targeted" factor at play.

Yeah, he “caught” that thing with his forearms.  Ball was moving all over the place.  
 

Shortly after they tried to throw a fade to the corner... he did some weird stutter step move on the LOS that fooled no one.   The commentator was perplexed 🤔

The miss by Coach McD was replacing a good WR coach with one from a coach who had bounced around league and was at East Carolina.  He was Zay Jones coach and recommended picking Zay Jones and frankly Coach McD was not qualified to pick offense players and took his recommendation.  Problem was the coach had not shown the ability to raise level of WRs including when he was WR coach for Phish.

Smith got more receptions per play with Raiders than Zay.
