I know it and you know it, Josh Allen was about to take the game over.

Yes, I believed this was about to happen.

But what frustrated the hell outta me was the way we came out in the 2nd half dominating with that fantastic no-huddle drive, but after that TD we went back to huddling.

Everything from play calling to execution was fishy in this game. I really hope Allen crosses that threshold I still believe he's going to cross this year.

Yes, it’s a series of questions along with a physicians diagnosis. I know because I’ve been involved with it.

The type of hit taken requires a 100% full clear exam. The least bit of an issue keeps a guy from returning, even if he  fails one question. Absurd as the question is, like what down was it.

It can take an hour or longer, depending  on the type of hit and if the player appeared to be injured by it.

I am connected with the physicians involved. I’m told Allen will return next week unless he exhibits headaches.

Right.  Sounds great.  Point is, some "dr." watching on tv has zero idea of the severity of his condition.  You are connected with the medical staff and you post on this board??? Color me skeptical.

I also was really hoping he came back out for the last couple minutes honestly he seemed fine and not punch drunk in the least but you gotta protect this kids melon imo he's too important we need him for the Long haul better safe than sorry

Agreed.  I get real discouraged when our players get concussions.  I’m always afraid that it’s going to lead to multiple concussions and a shortened career

Thanks for the clarification and the Intel ?

Really don’t care. I have a Bills medical connection along with a couple guys inside.

Ive called injuries before, with the skepticism of the previous board I was on, only to be proven correct.

I rarely post here, or anywhere.

Doesnt matter, it is what it is.

I think Allen wins this.  I think Bellie knew this and I think his D was told to take Allen out if circumstances presented because they are the Pats and will get away with it.  I mean hell, even the automatic first down was reversed thanks to a late phantom hold.  The NFL basically just told NE that the hit on Allen was perfectly fine.

...someone does it to Brady though, and there will be mass outrage by the league that makes nipplegate pale in comparison.  Hypocrits.

Allen really needs to improve those mental mistakes and unforced errors. He needs to protect the football.

For comparative sake Allen has thrown picks on 18 of his 244 career attempts. Kaepernick threw 30 on 1692 career attempts. If Allen keeps up this pick rate he will have 125 picks at 1692 attempts. Brady has thrown 172 picks on 9,520 attempts. If Allen would reached 9,520 attempts at his rate he’d have 702 picks at Brady’s attempts. Aaron Rodgers is even more amazing, 81 picks on 5,638 attempts, Allen would be at 416 picks.

The boneheaded interceptions make coaches stay up at night and let down the defense. They are unforced errors and I believe McDermott will only tolerate these horrible decisions for so long.

Has to get better for sure but....

Peyton Manning....575 attempts as a rookie....28 picks.

Troy Aikman....293 attempts as a rookie....18 picks.  (Very similar to Josh over 15 games)

Aaron Rodgers was groomed for a few years behind a hall of famer and on a good team.  Kaepernick had super bowl talent on his team.  Brady....obviously had super talent around him.  It is a bit different in fairness.  Our D is certainly playing elite but I don't think we have elite offensive talent around Josh.

The real question is can he break the trend as Manning and Aikman were able to do.

I think we would have won with Allen in. Unlike the first game, these interceptions were on him. We turned it over four times and they won by 6 pts. We missed a field go and didn’t attempt a gimme. Against the best team in the league we made mistakes and still had a punchers chance at the end. This game should give them confidence and Allen needs to know that he can win By just playing  the game without attempting the impossible.

I don't think that is fair. Kaepernick was in a completely different situation. Rodgers ddint paly for three years. Brady didn't play his first year and hardly threw downfield the first year or two he did play. I don't think people realize Allen is a different kind of player than we have seen. Stats are not going to tell the story. Sure he needs to cut down on mistakes but he is a playmaker and so far a winner.

Allen had over 400 attempts going into today’s  game. And you compared him to guys who all had the luxury of sitting behind competent starters for atleast a year.

That guy is why we lost today. Until McD learns we will always lose to them.

No he is not.
The Bills lost the game because they had 22 rushing plays and 44 passing plays, while Gore averaged just over 6 yards per carry.

First half, had they ran the ball instead of the pass that resulted in a sack and loss of 7 yards, that’s a successful field goal instead of a miss.

Kicking the field goal in the 4th instead of going for it on 4th turns the game into a tie and NE offense was held in check, Bills rushing attack could have broken that team.

It’s simple, control the clock, play mistake free and the Bills would have won...heck even with the mistakes they could have won with better play calling.

It’s what he has done until now.  Why doubt it would have happened today?

Pats fans online are defending that hit the way they did Gronk on Tre.  Even McCourtey was downplaying it.

We were all denied the proper ending to that game.  Today WAS the changing of the guard.  Now, the world will have to wait for the rematch to realize it.

How did they defend the Gronk hit on Tre? That's insane?

Hard doing this on an iPhone but will update those stats.

well...fwiw...Allen did have the highest wonderlic of the 2018 qb class, even better than genius Rosen, so we know he's a good test taker.  Therefore, if he is indeed right, I would like his chances of passing the test as much as anyone.

Sure it does. It’s a very complex protocol. Unless you know what it requires then you are guessing.

I know exactly what it requires. The rules are plain as day. This board posted everything about the stages of concussion protocol when Morse was going through it. If Josh Allen leaves the field and exhibits no symptoms, he doesn't have to enter the protocol. Obviously he did, because now he's in the protocol.
