It’s new. It happened on a hit as he was headed off on a line change. I don’t remember who initiated it, Skinner or the Boston player, but skinner dropped his shoulder into the guy then fell to the ice and when he got up it looked like he was in pain.

I am pretty sure its a shoulder injury of some type.

He looked like he was hurting before the hit too.  It was a bit strange.

I know they lost but I really didn’t have an issue with the way the Sabres played. I thought that Buffalo looked like the better team for much of the game. Usually it’s boston swarming all over the Sabres, winning puck battles, stripping pucks etc. But I felt like the Sabres were the ones swarming Boston much of the night.

They just couldn't buy a goal, as usual. And they’re not as talented as Boston is at forward. Halak made some great saves, but the Sabres have issues scoring goals. They have for years. They were creating chances though. But they couldn’t finish.

I have no trouble supporting them when they play like they did on Friday. It’s the games where it looks like nobody cares that really piss me off. I can live with a loss when I see full effort from everyone.

I was kind of hoping it was something that could be blamed for his lack of production this year.

Every year Boston is good, players come and go. Sabres keep on shuffling the deck. It’s so tiring looking at this franchise doing nothing but spin

it seems to be the same thing for the last 50 years.  The Bruins are always harder working, tougher, etc.  Don't know how that can last that long.

for some reason DVR recorded NESN feed. Bret Ritchie between period interview.." they dont like to get hit" announcer then agree wit them. Damn

The NESN guys are total homers, but they do a nice broadcast from a technical perspective, and Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley understand hockey.  Some of the guys around the league don't have a clue.

This Sabres team is incredibly soft and it's a problem.  It's not as big a problem as having no good 2nd or 3rd lines, a mediocre defense overall, and average to below average goaltending.

This Sabres team would be massively out-physicaled in a opening round playoff series, assuming we could ever get to one on our own.

Now lost 6 of the last 7 and only Ottawa, NJ, and Detroit have fewer points in the East.

These were the intermission guys. Pretty tough when opposing teams call you soft during a game. Damn.

I thought that once again, Buffalo was the better team. Boston just has more talent. That was the difference.

The sabres controlled the play for large stretches of the game. They made a couple mistakes and it ends up in the back of our net. That’s the difference. Boston has the talent to capitalize on those mistakes. Buffalo almost has to play a perfect game against the top teams in the league (like Boston) to get the win.

The wins might not be there at at the moment, but if they keep playing the way they’re playing now, the wins will eventually come.

At least they are entertaining to watch though. That’s a huge improvement over years past (sadly...). People just watching the score board only see the losses and miss all of the areas that this team is improving under Krueger.

They are a well coached team devoid of talent.  Thankfully some of Bots favorites have been sent to Rochester where they belong.  The problem is that in three years he hasn't managed to assemble a roster with more than 10-12.or so guys that belong in the NHL.  They are the Miami Dolphins.

Sounds like Bots & Krueger heard that too.  They’re calling up a bruiser from Amerks for the game :)

This strikes me as a “lipstick on a pig” kind of move. Taking nothing away from Dalton Smith, but he’s not gonna infuse the ERods, Shearys, and Veseys of the world with any grit. He’s not gonna make anyone more able to win puck battles or go to the greasy areas in front of the net. Besides, our main issue isn’t lack of grit, it’s an inability to score if Jack isn’t dominating.

That said, I hope Dalton Smith knocks a chiclet out of Cernak’s face tonight. Same goes for that dirty little prick, Kucherov. The league’s response to their cheap shots that took two of our guys out of the lineup, was inadequate. Time to mete out some old time justice and go biblical.

Building culture the one Buffalo way. What, are we now up to 4 trade requests in 12 months! Way to build a room! But according to @JohnC , Botts is doing a bang up job at building the program!

F all these little to no talent whining bastards! If anyone wanted your sorry lack of skills, you’d have been gone by now. Ungrateful pricks, the lot of them!

100% disagree. Bogo, STFU..i agree. But the criminal stocking of D is on the GM, and the inability to trade anyone is cause of the glut. Everyone knows he HAS to trade a D Man, why give him what he wants. He has rent to pay or he getting evicted, i don't care that painting is worth is $1000, i will give you $200 today so you can stay in your house. Its also why we have one of our top 4 D Men, who is 24, wasting away in the A. Criminal what he has done with this roster in the last 18 months.

And bringing in a goon tonight and sitting Erod I would be pissed as well, especially in a contract year. You want grit, go get an NHL level grit player..you know, maybe for one of your precious D men and throw in a pick. Stop watching another season circle the drain

Think of @snafu post the other day, he is sick of looking at prospects at lottery odds, as am I, as is the rest of the fan base.

Actually saw a post today suggesting the Pegulas are pulling a Major League so they can sell the team gracefully and concentrate on the Bills, that is the level of frustration this GM is generating in the fanbase

If they can get $200 for a $1000 painting, what is 20% of ERod's value?  A bag of used pucks with Flyers logos?

Is it worrying anyone that Eichel's best friend Bogo and college buddy Erod both want out?

Botts ineptitude and stagnation is epic.

I understand where you’re coming from regarding JBotts.

But that has nothing to do with a player’s decision to act professionally or not. Requesting trades because you don’t like how you’re being used, ESPECIALLY when you’ve done NOTHING to earn being used more, is bullcrap. ERod, Miller, Bogo et al, need to understand that they are on THIS team and in THIS circumstance and it’s ENTIRELY on them to accept their roles and not complain in the meantime.

Attitude is ALWAYS a personal decision.

What an aggravating loss. They blew a 3 goal lead and let Tampa score 4 unanswered goals. This team is so damn fragile sometimes.

This could have been a big win as win as far as the playoff race, with Florida losing tonight and Montreal currently losing with a few mins left in the game. We could have made up some ground. But, nope. I know I’m just kidding myself about the playoffs anyway. They aren’t making it this year, so whatever.

I agree with that but the quantity of these things reflects on somebody.  That somebody is likely the GM.

They are done. They won’t recover from this loss. We saw the same weak minded group we’ve seen under Bylsma and Housley. This group has now quit on Krueger. Nice.

It's premature to suggest they have quit on Ralph.

I do agree they're done however, if that means they won't make the playoffs this year.

The players who have been around through much of the tanking and are still here should have been moved a while ago, but they really need to go now.  Reinhart is at the top of that list.  Most of them don't have any trade value though, so it's tough.

Botterill needs to be fired before he can do more damage; I wouldn't trust him to move assets at this stage of the game.

I've been wondering for a long time now when Botterill goes.  I fear he'll be here for the full season and quite possibly into next as well.

But they still managed to pressure the Bolts. They just couldn't score. Baby steps, I suppose. But I'd love to know what Botts plan is/was supposed to be. Did he paint himself into a corner?

Botts plan is to wait for the next Fla/Cal/Tex road trip and to get in 36.

It's Jan. 1.  Is the draft lottery simulator up yet?

The Sabres have dampened my enthusiasm big time. Former season ticket at the Aud. I go way back. I couldn’t tell you anything statistically about the current players. When football was over I really concentrated on the Sabres. not anymore.
