Lots of people now rushing to the "See! RR was always a good guy!" take. Which, again, may be right. I haven't a clue and gave up trying to decipher it. I like Lee Smith's take on him personally, that he's neither. He's a bureaucrat who was used by both sides until he finally chose Barr over Comey (after Barr forced his hand).

I am still undecided about him. Good guy? Unlikely. Bad guy who flipped? More likely. Squishy deep stater who was gonna be a fall guy and decided to come down on the "right" side? Also more likely.

... Just got a few interesting updates on this from DC, come home to find this article waiting. Things are moving along, March/April seems to be the window for completion -- though the amount of information they just acquired might change that slightly from what I'm told.

sounds like a push back?

It wasn't phrased that way to me today, though Carter's article makes me think that's likely. Barr said in his NBC interview before the holidays that spring was likely, so it seems like that's still the plan. The documents they recovered (received) came with some new sources too. Those need to be vetted and deposed, but the conversation today was that what they've had come in the past two weeks has been "damning" and "impossible to ignore, even by those who want to sweep this under the rug."

It was a positive meeting/debrief today. These are very confident people right now, despite all the other noise.

Former CIA Director John Brennan is watching the Senate impeachment trial and was disgusted by the opening argument given by President Trump’s attorney, White House Counsel Pat Cipollone. Never in his 33 years of public service has he heard a government lawyer so misrepresent the facts.

Former CIA operations officer Mark Augustine gave a shout-out to his old boss:

We’re this far down the road, may have well have the storm hit late enough to impact 2020 election.

Thousandth "slight change" to the timeline since 2017.

I disagree that DR seems to know more than the investigators.  Nothing against DR (other than he's a BSC conspiracy Ufologist :nana:), he's done an outstanding job shining a light where others didn't want to.

But the investigators know more about what's going on.  It's just, they either don't really care or they know the perpetrators are untouchable.

For all the talk of land of the free and home of the brave, we've devolved into a feudal system with an aristocracy and the MSM is a modern clergy preaching down to keep the peasantry in line

That's just scary true!

Sarah has done it all, prosecuting violent criminals, drug traffickers, financial fraudsters, corrupt public officials, and a wide variety of other wrongdoers. Given the breadth of her experience and her exceptional lawyering skills, she certainly will be a standout as our new criminal chief.”

Another do nothing job on the public dole produced by Beardy McGee who has still produced literally nothing while he bides time until Jan 20 2021 or Jan 20 2025.  This broad is replacing a guy that just became a judge after doing zero while under Beardy.  Nice reward a-hole.  These people are garbage.

John Brennan: Cancel the State of the Union, blames impeachment

 by Karen Townsend

Original Article

Former CIA Director John Brennan is an unabashed member of The Resistance. He and the rest of the Trump-hating left are bitterly clinging to the hope that a miracle will occur in the impeachment trial. Nothing short of a vote in the Senate to affirm that the president is guilty of the charges before them will suffice. Then, of course, President Trump must be removed from office. Reality is slowly setting in for men like Brennan. President Trump will not be voted guilty in the Senate and he will not be removed from office. He will serve out the rest of his term.

The Once and Future Scandal

by Victor Davis Hanson

Original Article

Now that the four-and-a-half-month-long Ukraine impeachment bookend to the 22-month Mueller charade is over, it clearly accomplished nothing other than substantially raising the polls of both Donald Trump and the Republican Party. The public was reminded that Representative Gerald Nadler (D-N.Y.) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) are every bit as childish, peevish, and absurd as Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).

So, we are now back to the existential issue of the entire Trump phenomenon: to what degree did the Hillary Clinton campaign collude with high-ranking Obama officials, and the top echelons of the FBI, CIA, and the national intelligence apparatus, to surveil, defame, and hope to derail Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign by unlawful means?

Stillllll waiting lol ??

For what?

Evidence of illegal surveillance and serious crimes being committed in the name of political spying?

(Already proven/released: https://www.justice.gov/storage/120919-examination.pdf )

Or for the entire upper echelon of the FBI/DOJ under 44 to be referred to the DOJ for criminal prosecution?

(Already happened)

Or for a federal probe with indictment/investigatory power to be unleashed?

(In progress)

... The question to ask someone like you, someone who seemingly thought the Trump/Russia story was the end of our republic, why aren't you outraged at the abuses uncovered to date? Are they not big enough for you? (It's just a coup, no biggie)? Or is it that the media continues to lie to you and you keep listening because you've learned nothing about their agenda since 2016?

Could it be that you're overlooking the biggest scandal in US history simply because you've been programmed NOT to look at it?

That can't be, right? You're too smart for that.

i am on record saying there was nothing to the Russian conspiracy.  It sounded false from day one.

i am on record saying there will be no arrests to all the big names allegedly behind a coup.  It sounds childish and laughable.

ill be right on both of these...two for two baby

(I even said from early on that Trump would be impeached, and many of you laughed at that, for the Ukraine issue.  But that nothing would come of it as it doesn’t rise to warranting removing someone from us.  God I am good at these predictions)

All that and you still dodged the question.

The question isn't whether Trump/Russia was false -- of course it was. The question was how did it start, who pushed it, and was it done for partisan political (and illegal) reasons? The evidence says yes. You don't say a word about it... why?
