HuSeYiN_NYC
Correct me if I'm wrong but, don't we have a great cap situation next offseason also? Even better than this year IIRC... There's a lot to be excited about as a Bills fan that's for sure...

By the time the draft roles around I would anticipate the only picks that would count in the top 51 immediately would be your 1,2,3, and maybe both 4ths. So that would be 6.9M

TOboy
So likely puts us around $30M left? And we'd want to have $15M or so for draft picks and filling out the roster. I guess we could sign one more impact player (Ansah?), or two more borderline starter types?

thenorthremembers
They should have about 15.4 million left to spend, draft picks included. Not sure how much more they are going to spend, they held on to between 8 and 12 million dollars for in season moves last year.

Yeah, I'm assuming that they have between 30 and 35 in space now, and are going to want to keep 15-20 in reserve for draft picks and in-season moves. So they have ~15 left in AAV to toss out, which means either one splash move or a few tier-2 moves.
ALF
I would want to roll over a decent cap for free agency in 2020. Improve run defense now would be the exception. jmo

As of today, they have the 13th-most players signed for 2020 and have the 11th-most cap space. Assuming they keep all 10 draft picks, and 7 of them make the team, they'll probably end up in the top-10 for both metrics. That doesn’t account for the $6M or so more that they will get with the release of Vlad, Ivory and Bodine correct? I am almost assuming those as definites which would put them in the $21M range to spend. 1 minute ago, thebandit27 said: Apparently I was perhaps a tiny bit too conservative: So we are probably looking closer to $30M? Definitely possible to make a splash move, have the draft, let the above-mentioned go, sign draft picks, and still have $10M left for in-season moves

Logic
I have to think the Bills are MOSTLY done spending. They'll likely add a couple more cheap, complimentary depth pieces, but that's about it. The ONLY thing I can see throwing a wrench in the works is if they decide to spend big on a pass rusher, either Ziggy Ansah or via a trade. Good question. They really don't have too many players to re-sign in 2020. They could extend Tre White, though he'd have 1 year on his contract AND a team-option year for 2021. Milano, Poyer, and Dawkins will head into 2020 on the final years of their deals, so they could be candidates as well. I suppose you could look at Jerry Hughes and Jordan Phillips too if you really wanted to...so I guess I say all of that to say that I expect a few big signings in 2020. Obviously things will change, but all of the tagged pass rushers like Lawrence/Clowney/Clark could be available. There's also guys like AJ Green and Bobby Wagner.
