Must have gotten cut, Kyle Allen was playing for the Panthers late this season when Cam got put on the shelf. The level of competition is often crapped on. But 80% of these guys have had a cup of coffee in the NFL. Take even the best college program, I doubt it’s anywhere close to 80%. IMO The level of competition in this league is not as horrendous as many believe. You can't have an O-line play tight in 6 weeks. They allow blitzing, just not more than 5 rushers. I think that's a big reason why the games are entertaining. Next season they should give them more practice time before the season, maybe have some scrimmages. The sloppy play is what furthers the perception that these guys are scrubs. Nobody is watching and they needed a bailout to not fold after week 1. The things they decided to do are wrong and when the league doesn’t make it, these will be some of the reasons why. I was thinking about that, but could an NFL team make an offer to a player and then ask that they stop playing in order to avoid injury?
