Pete Buttigieg: Climate Change Fight Maybe Worse than World War II

by Charlie Spiering

Original Article

Elizabeth Warren demands ban on bump stocks 5 months AFTER Trump outlawed them as she tells campaign audience it’s something ‘we could be doing’ to limit gun violence.

About that disastrous race for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination….

“What a mess! Biden is too old and too mentally weak to be President, yet he’s just sitting there at the top, immobile. And the only other strong candidates are the distinctly lefty Warren and Sanders. Harris cannot advance to double digits. And the mayor of a small city is inexplicably parked in fifth place. What about all the governors? Have they all dropped out, or are some of them still in and invisible? The polls are awful for the Democrats, who’ve exacerbated their problem with their structure for the debates.”

.

Every time I watch 'Saving Private Ryan' that opening scene chills me to the bone.  30 straight minutes of polar bears floating toward the beach on melting ice, the German army high atop the ridge shooting non-environmentally friendly spitballs at them through plastic straws.  It was like I was there.

Looks like the only question that the Lefties need to answer is: At what age do we limit "abortions"? The Warren faction was solidly behind the age of 18 since no human was worth anything to them prior to voting age but crafty old Sanders proposed that if the voting age was moved to 16, then he would be willing to cut off abortions at that age.

Who cares about abortion. They are likely to be shot and killed before voting anyway.

CNN’s 7-Hour ‘Climate Change’ Town Hall was a man-made disaster for Democrat presidential candidates

by William A. Jacobson

Original Article

It was a man-made disaster, created in the fevered swamps of CNN and fueled by pledges of allegiance to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal.

The candidates came across as not-serious-people. Worse, they came across as nanny-state monsters who really do want to take away your plastic straws and cheeseburgers to save the planet. It was a self-parody of what woke totalitarianism sounds like, with an abnormal focus on meat. Republican attack-ad makers have hours of footage that can be sliced and diced to make any of the candidates who appeared at the Townhall look insane. And they wasted no time.

KAMALA HARRIS: Of course we must regulate how much meat Americans are eating.

The meat ration has been increased from 300g to 200g, comrade!

Also..............

Always the cop, Kamala Harris is threatening to disarm Americans caught with contraband plastic straws and hamburgers, but polluters will also have to look over their shoulders for her Environmental Justice Unit:

"No community should be dumped on" Interesting words   Has she been back to her home state recently?

Meh, not a Dem but there isn't an Independent thread and I don't want to start a new thread, sooooo... sharing the good news here.

Howard Schultz drops plans to run as independent candidate in 2020

Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz won't run for president in 2020, ending his exploration of an independent run against President Donald Trump.

"My belief in the need to reform our two-party system has not wavered, but I have concluded that an independent campaign for the White House is not how I can best serve our country at this time," Schultz said in a letter posted to his website on Friday.

Eh, I'm guessing his internal poll numbers showed him at "who?" percent.

Did I see it correctly where one of the moderators asked Kamala what she thought of the Food Pyramid?!! Really now? Does the Senator have any special expertise on the subject? Are there not HUNDREDS of taxpayer funded nutritionists already on the case? What in the world does Senator Harris know about it? Sheeesh what a clown show!

The only thing better than last night's Global Warming Cooling Climate Change Town Hall was following it on Twitter.

What a schitshow. Imagine getting a 2020 presidential candidate to admit we should use American taxpayer dollars to fund international abortions to control the population.

I'll assume all the leftists who visit this board are not commenting on this because they agree with Sanders.

I've always given him credit in not shying away from giving unpopular opinions.  People born in richer countries have more of a carbon footprint so offering to provide aid for birth control to poorer countries is just dumb policy.

Another thing with climate change is the majority of the public want the federal government to do more as long as it doesn't impact them.  The Dem candidates need to keep that in mind.

My sense is that Bernie and other far left Dem Socialists have no clue how stupid they sound because they're trying to carry Trump's braggadocio when they can barely explain a coherent thought on their own. I've said previously they all remind me of Shooter McGavin in the "Happy Gilmore" scene where he trots off into the woods to try and drive a golf ball like Gilmore does. He does it because he realizes an unconventional approach *may* win and he needs to at least give it a try, regardless  of how stupid he looks.

....it is beyond mind boggling and comprehensible.......then again, scarily consider the fickle component of the electorate......isn't their primary hard sell "trillions of unfunded freebees" which piques the undivided attention of the "Gimme Crowd"?.....think THEY give a rat's azz about the UNFUNDED part?......it's somebody else's problem because "I got MY freebees"......see the piece where Bumblin' Bernie got PO'ed about a freakin' BABY crying in the audience interrupting him?....seriously?....

If you buy that human beings contribute significantly to global warming and our grandkids will pay the price then global population control is crucial.  The idea that Sanders wants to kill brown babies is something you'd hear from the leftists you loathe.  Most Democrats are just afraid to bring it up because it's political poison.

If you want to kill someone because you think humans contribute to global warming cooling climate change crisis, don't kill the babies. Kill the old, white people who have little left to give.

Of course, then you would remove the top five Dem 2020 candidates, but hey...if we can save one baby!

Well, this is all over the place today. Trial balloon? Lizzy is now the sacrificial candidate?  What not to do to win the presidency?

Warren and Clinton talk behind the scenes as 2020 race intensifies

Analysis: Neither camp wants to talk about it, but the two women have recently grown closer.

Elizabeth Warren's team doesn't want to talk about Hillary Clinton, but that doesn't mean the 2020 presidential candidate isn't talking with her party's 2016 nominee.

The two women have kept a line of communication open since the Massachusetts senator decided to run for president — though only a conversation around the time of Warren's launch has been previously reported — according to several people familiar with their discussions who spoke to NBC on the condition of anonymity because of the political sensitivity of private interactions.

The truth about Democrats’ climate chamber

by Miranda Devine

Original Article

Joe Biden’s bleeding eye at the Democrats’ marathon “climate crisis” town hall on CNN is as good an omen as any of the political curse of eco-catastrophism. From banning cheeseburgers and plastic straws to aborting babies in poor countries, the swivel-eyed climate zealotry of the 10 Democratic front-runners has just rendered them unelectable. It’s extraordinary the candidates were gullible enough to be lured into what clearly was an ambush by puppet youth climate activists from the shadowy Sunrise Movement and 350.org.

What I like about Tom Steyer is his efficiency.

His ability to co-opt a picture of his staff buying polling numbers, with his campaign message in this advertisement, is first rate.

His Biden-like forgetfulness, that he created some of the corporate powers and special interests he is now assailing, is a thing to behold.

But, what I think I like the best, is his idea of “Join our campaign to clean up Washington". It’s a little wordy, though. Maybe try something like “Drain the Swamp”?

It was -- after you moved off your initial claims that Biden was going to win the nomination (and general). Biden never had a chance. Still doesn't.

Neither do any of the ones running. ;)

He's been working out. I wonder if Joe Biden still wants to take him behind the school and teach him a lesson?
