To be clear, I didn't say the economy is horrible.

It's good for now, but it was growing steadily in the 7 years prior to Trump taking office, so calling this "the Trump economy" as though he created this is disingenuous.

And projections are that the economy is slowing down. And this tax cut is breadcrumbs for the middle class and sandwiches for the wealthy. And it's adding SooOOooo much to the deficit, which as you know is something Republicans apparently care a lot about when Democrats are in office. And as far as feelings about those tax cuts:

Does a 40% approval rating really jump out at you? I mean... that 40% is pretty ironic since it's pretty much where Trump's approval rating hovers, but if Independents are the determining factor in Trump getting reelected, 32% doesn't bode well.

The economy got a shot in the arm last year with the Tax cuts... we have 18 1/2 months until the election.

How confident are you it will get better or at least stay the same?

And as for the folks bringing up all the stuff about skeletons in Biden's closet coming out... well... Trump still got elected, so likely will Biden if he winds up being the nominee.

Another big mistake on Trump's part, I believe, was renewing his pledge to repeal the Affordable Care Act... though now he says they will put that off til after the election, which will make many of those who were "on the fence" vote against him considering he just wants it gone (Dude has serious Presidential Envy going on) with no plan to replace it with anything. Hell, even Fox friggin News had a poll in the last year that showed it had a 51% approval among Americans and this guy says to axe it without even a replacement plan?

The guy's an idiot and just needs to go.

While Trump may very well be an idiot, he’ll have a few things going for him. The economy ( whomever’s you choose to call it) will probably be the same to slightly improving. The Dems will nominate a radical, far left candidate out of touch with American ideals and with reality in general. This will bolster Trumps support from independents. If 51% of Americans “ approve” of the ACA, it’s likely that most don’t understand how bad and expensive it actually is for what it claims to accomplish.

As I have said.................

Tulsi Gabbard is the only sane Democrat by a freaking country mile, but she won't get the nomination if she lived to be 1,000 years old.

Biden was a decent choice in 2016, not sure he would survive a 2020 serious run in the current climate

2 Things.

1. The economy is to presidents as Wins are to NFL QBs.  When you win, the QB gets all the glory and when you lose its all the QB's fault.  Is it fair?  Or course not, but like a lot of things in life of is not Fair, but just is.

2. How long does a person have to be prez with a good  economy before you give them any credit?  We're going on 30 months.

they insist Obama made the great economy, so at the very best Trump has managed to tread water to uphold this great economy 100% built by Obama

So, if Trump's economy was really Obama's was Obama's economy really Bush's and can Clinton be blamed for the meltdown in 2008?

possibly, you'd never get them to admit that, they can't even absorb that Trump won again and was totally acquitted

All these snow flakes that think they need a loan because they can't afford college should join the military in a non combat role for 3 years and then go to college on the GI Bill.  That's what I did. It's what their grand parents did too.

I don't feel sorry for them at all.
