Presidential candidate and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg said during his interview with USA Today that it is hard to look at the actions of President Donald Trump and think he believes in God.

So now the Dems are mind-readers and spiritual advisors....

The first fudge packer in the WH would be typical of the world, circa 2020.

But this Pete guy doesn't have a chance in hell.

If that was done by a GOP PAC, I admit I am not entirely sure why they wasted the money now. Maybe they had some interns with spare time.

The dumpster fire of the Democrat nomination hasn't really even started yet, where the jackals are going to feast on each other unlike anything ever seen before (IMO).  And I find it hard to believe the GOP leadership is afraid of going up against Biden.

They're just stoking the #MeToo fires, and getting some payback for Kavanaugh in the process.

Pete Buttigieg is the closest thing to a '92 Clinton or an '08 Obama I've seen thus far in the race (forget Beto).  Buttigieg seems authentic, well spoken, laid back, Rhodes scholar, Harvard graduate, a practicing espectatalian, can speak multiple languages, Afghaistan War veteran, South Bend mayor (hello Midwest), and could be an interesting contrast to the bombastic Trump.  The main knock on him will be his age at 37 (looks 21) as he's at that age right between the millenial and generation x generations.  I don't see him being gay as a huge deal now adays.

Called the Iraq War a mistake his generation is paying for, supports a "Medicare for all who want it" option which allows people who like their private insurance fan to keep it, pro union, and wants to solve the imminent chick fil a debate.

Some interesting quotes about socialism, free college, and freedom.

“In an older generation during the Cold War, you could kill an idea by saying it was socialist,” he says. “I think in our generation we just want to know if it’s a good idea, and the name-calling doesn’t work as much because it doesn’t have that same kind of horrifying connotation. It’s not just like a kill switch on a substantive debate.”

“Americans who have a college degree earn more than Americans who don’t,” he said. “As a progressive, I have a hard time getting my head around the idea of a majority who earn less because they didn’t go to college subsidizing a minority who earn more because they did.”

“Freedom for me has depended on the ability to get health care, the ability to marry the person I love, the ability to hold financial institutions accountable."

White and male. Doesn't stand a chance in the primary, sexual preference notwithstanding.

If I saw a female or minoriy male candidate who had the "it" factor I'd agree with you.  There isn't.

Don't forget that 38 states had laws against gay marriage before the supreme Court decided to legislate from the bench. Buttigeg stands zero chance in the general.

A majority of Americans support gay marriage so it's not a major issue.  His age, lack of experience, and his recent comments about why Hillary failed will be his main criticisms.

Yet another sweetheart cherry-picked poll you have dreamt up that supports your views.

No.  I just assumed it was common knowledge at this point.  Prove me wrong.

It's still very early. I just don't see him as someone the DNC would covet, and if 2016 was any indication, that's all that matters.

As long as we don't call it socialism it will definitely work.  That's genius but I think we should take it one step further and give it a new catchy name like magicnomics or something.

From what I've seen he's the same as all the other commies that are running. His great allure is his calm demeanor that he expresses his commieness. I suggest calminomics, and the l is silent of course.

He said in an interview that "American capitalism is the most productive economic force known to man" so he's definitely to the right of the Bernie Sanders type.

It seems they're at a "wait and see" approach at this point.  If his poll numbers keep increasing and he's friendly to Wall Street they'll get behind him.

When do national polls matter? Don't fool yourself.
