Dislike KB on the routes we have him run. They're using him poorly

We don't have the OL to have WR's go deep so KB should be fine to fit in.  We need utilize KB as a check down or 3rd option. Newton found success with KB because he couldn't read the field to save his life and just chucked it up when all else failed.  KB sometimes caught it, too.

A flea flicker to KB was a good play and horribly executed.

We needed to have a speedy WR to get down field. We didn't get it

In lieu of that we need to have KB running inside posts, matching up to LB's and SS in the box thus helping the run game.

KB should never be running routes outside the hashes or down field more than 15 yards unless we need to pick up the first.  It makes no sense and our OL can't sustain a block to accomplish more than that.

He can't catch back shoulder fades, and he seems to be slow out of his break on every route.  He's slow and never open, and is struggling to catch contested passes.  It's literally all you can do at this point with him since he's never open.

I'd love to line him up inside, but he doesn't want to mix it up with LBs in the run game so that doesn't work either.  I'd honestly just replace him at this point.

Bob Foster is on the roster for one reason only. If they aren’t going to use him in that situation they might as well cut him.

If we go deep to him whenever he's on the field, the other team will never bite on the PA fakes.  He needs to improve his route tree.

Joe B also tweeted that he’s off the field on run plays because he’s not a good blocker ?. Is there anything he does well? Serious question.

you need a few “set up plays” before you run such trickery, you don’t open w that play.

also, KB certainly jogged a handful of routes yesterday, and doesn’t even try to be ‘creative’ when a play breaks down.

They might as well have sent Ryan Groy deep. Why Daboll Why

I agree with why have KB go deep, but I believe that the best way to try and make a trick play work is with your standard offensive players.

If they had had put in Foster and taken KB out - it screams deep pass/trick play on the opening offensive series.

I think they thought if they could get a bite and have KB deep 1-1 or behind people maybe they get a big play and get him involved early, but he is just to slow and it did not fool anyone.

Would be nice if it was Zay or even Ray Ray running that route, but again the idea was to look as much like a run as possible and that leaves KB free to try and get deep.

Eats?

And I say this as a stocky man myself...no judgment, but I can't think of anything else.

With his size him not being a good blocker is ridiculous. He plays so small. No physical or mental toughness.

The only thing I have seen that he dods extremely well is deflect blame, make excuses and cash a paycheck.

I didn't mind the play call, I'm all for a team being aggressive.

IMO, they drew it up for KB in an effort to get him a big play right off the bat and maybe get his confidence up or spark his motivation. As others have said, I figured I'd see Foster as the target.

Overall, the offense yesterday wasn't great but they weren't terrible. They consistently picked up first downs and the run game was working well against a pretty good DL.
