This defense is really coming together. It really looks great when Braswell, Edwards, and Richmond are all on the floor at the same time.

I also think this team plays much better D with a lead. Just seek to be more aggressive.

Marek and braswell have been there the longest and know the defense much better than Griffin

Richmond, Buddy, Braswell, Dolezaj, Edwards

Richmond, Girard, Buddy, Braswell, Dolezaj

Girard, Buddy, Braswell, Guerrier, Dolezaj

Girard , Buddy, Braswell, Dolezaj, Edwards

Lots of options. This team is what I thought it would be at the beginning of the year

Is it bad that I completely expected us to win this game? Weird thing is I almost never feel this about the Bills, but when the Orange gets into the NCAA Tourney and they aren't playing teams familiar with their zone... they win 9 times out of 10 in the opening rounds.

Now I feel less confident about West Virginia, but still good.

And holy crap Buddy Boeheim just made some bank!

I love Buddy, but I'm not sure if he's NBA caliber, and if he is he needs to stop with the smiling after hitting buckets, he'll get constant hard fouls at the next level

2 years ago I would have said absolutely not getting drafted..  Now he is absolutely the best shooter in college basketball

And he's 6 ft 6. Some say 6'7..

Somebody will want to put him in a Kyle korver three-point specialist mode

The zone is often effective when 'Cuse gets in the tourney & plays a team that hasn't seen it.  But I've rarely seen it as effective as it was last night. I almost felt bad for San Diego St. - they could not figure it out.  That 10 minute stretch where they didn't score was crazy.

Pumped for today's game! Friday night was a very pleasent surprise after watching Syracuse look like hot garbage most of the year. I think this will be a tough game, but if they can play anywhere near what they did the other night, they have a chance. Go cuse!

Boeheim in his career has coached circles around Bob Huggins

Let's hope it continues

Good luck to all the Syracuse fans! My sister and some buddies went there. Them beating Huggins would be extra special, since any self-respecting Xavier fan has to have some dislike for Huggy!

Let's GOOOO!!!!

And a random side question... what's with the scheduling of the tournament? Why is the first weekend running from Friday to Monday rather than the usual Thursday to Sunday?

One less day in the bubble I would guess.

  Let's Go Syracuse!

imagine if Dolejaz had fouled out. He pretty much was the most critical Player down the stretch. Every one of our baskets went through him.

That pass he had down low that was then kicked to the corner for 3 was amazing, not to also mention his offensive board and put back of buddy’s miss

that pass/kick-out to Braswell Late was probably the play of the game, in my view. Two huge passes and clutch 3 on that play— at probably the most important point of the game.

Dolezaj is the most important person on the team. The offense runs through him at the top of the key

And you can't say that about any 611 big man in the country.. his skill set is so unique and makes him so valuable
