Tyrod Taylor finally unleashed in a "competent offense with weapons."

Horrible!!!  it COULD NOT possibly get any worse than Tyrod Taylor 443 yds passing, his PIT tie and OT loss to saints.

Thanks goodness these non running pocket passers are around to save the day...

Too bad seasons and careers, or for that matter personnel decisions aren't or qualified after 2 games.

The instant analysis crowd really struggles when there's a need to see things over the long haul. Tuh-rod spent 3 season in Buffalo with declining numbers, specifically YPA, yards passing per game, and of course, struggled to win games coming from behind.

Baker is their guy and he'll supplant TT at some point this season when the latter goes back to doing what he normally does: take few chances downfield.

I recall seeing posts last season claiming that the Browns were loaded with talent, yet they again had one of the worst offenses and defense in the league.

If the Browns HC was not Hue Jackson, there's no way, after 2 more winless weeks to start the season, TT would be QB in week 3........

Absolutely agree on the Fitz thing.

We could and should have kept Fitz at his reasonable contract and we STILL could have drafted Manuel in the 1st.  And at that point at least Manuel wouldn't have been forced to play... unless that damn mat would have just hunted Fitz down somehow the way it did Kolb.

Speaking of which, that choice of Kolb was a really underwhelming vet to bring in, anyway... kinda like AJ McCarron this year

The thing that irks me on the whole Josh deal is we are pretty much doing EXACTLY the same with Josh as we did with EJ.  First we signed a PROJECT QB. Then we ran off the incumbent Vet starter that could have started some games and helped the new guy.  For EJ it was Fitz and for Josh of course Hotrod.  We even did it for the same reason.  "they make too much moeny."  (they didn't).  then we sign some off the shelf vet and they don't even make it out of pre season.  So we start the season with the new QB plus another inexperienced schmuck as backup.  EJ had Tuel Time.  Josh had Nasty Nate. Then we had to start him (before he's ready) because he's all we got.

Talk about dong the same thing and expecting different results.

Dude, there were posts a month ago that hammering the Brown win total over was free money.

What a country.  Vegas is laughing.

Lo and behold my children, the miracle of Tyrod Taylor.  (...)Behold what Tyrod has accomplished going to a competent organization chock full of first round picks and cap space.  (....) Look upon Tyrod's works, ye mighty, and despair!

Cleveland has a -3 point PF/PA differential

Bills are at -55, that's right, 55, fifty five, more points allowed than scored.

We never approached that, the 3 years TT was here.

Unless your point is that Tyrod and the Browns are doing better right now than the Bills are or simply to lose yourself in admiration of your rhapsodic bloviation, I'm not sure -

What IS Your Point?

Was that in the thread that "vegas" was trying to convince us that all the smart money was on Cleveland to reach the SB?

Unless you think Tyrod would've strapped on a helmet and played CB, I don't care about points allowed.

My point is that Tyrod still sucks in Cleveland, and even though there were whispers about how he was going to get them between 6-8 wins, he's already about to be benched for sucking and not being able to meet the lofty goal of winning a single game for the Browns.

The Steelers turned it over 6 times to the Browns and Tuh managed a tie.  Incredible stuff.

Cleveland is =24th right now in PPG offensively. Being that QB has relatively little to do with the defensive side of the ball, I'd say point diff is irrelevant to the discussion. Their defense is keeping them in games, and (as is characteristic of a Taylor led attack) their offense isn't doing enough to get the W.

Exactly.  Exactly.

Right down to, with EJ, giving him NO QB coach his first season

With Allen, giving him a QB coach who last coached QB when dinosaurs roamed the earth and a gallon of gas cost less than a buck

They put the kicker into a place where the team should have won. Twice.

It's what Tyrod does; he gives you a chance.
