One of the left's biggest weaknesses is its inability to think anything through.

Hillary was disparaging of Dr Epstein yesterday, so he's bringing some pain onto her and Google today on twitter:

Is this the "dark money" that Elizabeth is going to get rid of?

I find the Elizabeth "dark money" line kindof funny.  She spent years in congress and did nothing about it.  She actually could have at least tried to do something about it in congress.  Now she's running for prez talking about when really, the prez can't do anything about it.

Well, she's about as honest about her financing as she is about her Indian heritage.

She famously denounced "big money" and refused to accept it at the start of her campaign (even going so far as to encourage her fellow clowns to refuse to accept "big money")... right after her campaign accepted a crapton of money from "big money" donations.

This guy is a leftie with a capital "L".  I wonder how left he will be after this?

Doesn't really matter whether he stays a lefty or not.  Perception is king on that side, and the perception now will be that he makes Ted Cruz look liberal.

Hope he didn't want to go to any parties the next 6 or so years.  Pretty sure he's off a lot of guest lists that he used to be on.

I was surprised by the tenor of that article in that I would have assumed huffpost to be more sympathetic toward google

Let me repeat myself.    Too many people here  (not only in the PPP) do not get sarcasm.

Sarcasm is much harder to detect in writing since you don't have tone of voice and facial inflections to tip you off.  If you mean sarcasm, you might want to just say so to avoid confusion.  That and the whole point of sarcasm is to try to mislead the other person with words.  Much easier to confuse in writing.

This is part of the problem in the world today with all the divisiveness.  We go primarily by written communication (Tweeter, FakeBook, Instagram, etc).  Written communication is several notches down in commination quality than face to face which is the best.

Next time you want to use sarcasm, help out a Bills brother, and let us know.

Some people need to use emojies to convey the fact that they are attempting sarcasm while others are adept at using sarcasm in such a way that they leave no doubt. ShadyBillsFan4Ever needs to go to sarcasm school.

Oh, he's definitely running in 2020.

But one thing he says in here that is not exactly right.  he say Google tracks you within a few feet of our location at all times.  That's only true if you leave your GPS on at all times which I suspect most people do.    There's really no reason to do that except for Google and FakeBook etc to know where you are.

I turn mine off unless I really need it on for something to help ME. Like occasionally when I use the map/driving thing.  But I usually use my old TomTom or that.  Doesn't track where I am.

A side benefit is it makes the battery charge last a lot longer.

Probably mostly true since most people don't know or don't care about this stuff.

I'll point it out when it occurs. It is true that sometimes it is difficult to ascertain sarcasm but in a forum like PPP it's pretty easy amongst the regulars to recognize sarcasm.

Edit:

This is an example of easily recognizable sarcasm:

Media: Trump's an anti-Semite because he views Israel as a top ally and thinks U.S. should be loyal to its ally and thinks Jews should not vote for a party that hates them

Also media: Omar/Tlaib are not anti-Semites for promoting the destruction of Israel (BDS) & demonizing Jews

Not just by GPS, but by triangulating the location data off the cell towers.  In short, if you use your cellphone, Google knows where you are within a few feet.

True, but I don't think they can get within a few feet without GPS and triangulation off cell towers alone.

This makes me want to ditch my cell phone.

Similarly. I went down to the local paint store last night to buy a gallon of paint.  The kid asked me if I had an account and I said no. He said, oh can add you.  I asked why I needed an account to buy a can of paint.  He said I didn't, but if I did I got 10% off everything.  I paid full price. He thought I was nuts.  This big brother stuff drives me nuts.

I want to be a full fledged participating in the world citizen, but these days to do so I have to open my kimono to everyone, event he guys at the paint store.  Sad.

</get off my lawn rant>  I admit it.

Triangulation gets pretty darn close because that  was the requirement to ensure E911 calls from cellphones.

Gotcha.  Thanks for the info.  Didn't realize that.

I'm still keeping  my GPS off though.  That's what most apps use and why they ask you if they can when installing (I think).  Some apps complain that it's not turned on.  F$%k 'em.

Laura Loomer’s Lawsuit Against Google will Be Heard Before the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals

In a huge procedural win for Laura Loomer, the D.C. Court of Appeals has agreed to hear the merits of her lawsuit against Google.

</snip>

Google had sought to have the lower court’s ruling summarily affirmed, which is what happens when a case is weak and the Court of Appeals concludes it would be a waste of time to hear the case.

The D.C. Court of Appeals issued an order saying, “The merits of the parties’ positions are not so clear as to warrant summary action.”

Having worked with Facebook ads, you can choose to identify the gender you are targeting in order to run the ad, yet Facebook has an ad rule that you cannot "target personal attributes".  So Facebook actually violates their own policy with targeted ads?

Clearly Facebook is unbiased, and clearly CNBC is fair and balanced, too.  Everyone seems to be trying to discredit The Epoch Times. I wonder why that is?  <_<

Facebook bans ads from The Epoch Times after huge pro-Trump buy

Facebook has  banned The Epoch Times, a conservative news outlet that spent more money on pro-Trump Facebook advertisements than any group other than the Trump campaign, from any future advertising on the platform

</snip>

The Epoch Times’ new method of pushing the pro-Trump conspiracy ads on Facebook, which appeared under page names such as “Honest Paper ” and “Pure American Journalism, ” allowed the organization to hide its multimillion-dollar spending on dark-money ads, in effect bypassing Facebook’s political advertising transparency rules. Facebook’s ban will affect only The Epoch Times’ ability to buy ads; the sock-puppet pages created to host the new policy-violating ads were still live at the time of publication.

However, Google Translate brings up nothing at all for  “covfefe” in Arabic. Only by turning it into two words and adding an apostrophe — cov fe’fe — one can create a phrase that Google Translate says means “I will stand up.”
