What is the most boring NFL city?

Then my list stands. Buffalo for a football game is a great experience but it is at, or near, the bottom of the league the rest of the year.

GB (32) Buffalo (31) Jax (30) Cleveland (29) Detroit (28) would be my top 5 overall. I grew up outside Buffalo and have been in all of the NFL Cities. Just one man’s opinion. Not talking about the quality of people or the football experience. Buffalo would be in the top 5 in those categories. Indy in my opinion blows these 5 cities away.

Spent 26 summers in Buffalo. They don’t host 3 of the 5 biggest festivals in the country.

This is a good call. There is nothing around the stadium but a forgotten two lane road with old motels, bars, closed up Chinese restaurants, gas stations.

Boston is a live city though. 40 minutes away from Foxboro.

That’s not really a fair take. Along those lines, whar does Orchard Park have?

Never saw a pool- its pretty basic and everyone was watchin the game. It was October and hot as hell! People were very friendly too.

Are you talking Cincy or Jacksonville. What you're describing sounds like Cincy to me, but could be either.

Wow wow wow, quit it with all this logic here. I would think Buffalo, despite how much I love it, would be top 5 in terms of boring to me.

I meet people from out of the country, and even when I travel around in the states and they say they'd love to go to the falls. I tell them don't waste your time. It's not worth a 500, 1000, or more round trip for foreigners to see. I get the allure, but it's a nice sight surrounded by some crappy casinos and generally a dump on both sides.

I drove through their last week, what the hell is with the hot dogs? I get buffalo marketing wings because they're amazing and unique, but hot dogs are hot dogs. I don't care about the name recognition Ted's has. Every other corner was a business touting their hot dogs.

Hey! I liven it up with my weck sliders and Manhattans......

If you know where to go, Cincinnati is a fine place. Back in my Xavier days, OTR was where you went if you had a death wish. Now it’s very cool, and so many other great areas.

I can’t imagine how Green Bay could NOT be the “winner” here, but I’ll reserve judgment until after week 4.

I live in Los Angeles so I have a different threshold for a fun city than I used to when I lived in Buffalo.  I've been to a little over half of the NFL cities, but I think it's been enough for me to come up with a pretty solid list of crappy ones.

My bottom 5 cities in the NFL

5. Cleveland - I've had some good times in Cleveland, but the area of fun is a small isolated arts district (not unlike Buffalo if we're being honest).

4. Detroit - I've had less good times in Detroit. I think enough has been written about its status as an empty chunk of concrete.

3. Charlotte - This is a city that just isn't for me. Country music and "safe" conservatism means that their idea of a good time is a bar with all white people singing Kenny Chesney with the "wild one" of the group climbing on a decorative wagon wheel and being very agreeable when the staff motions her to get down.

2. Cincinnati - There are no words. It's just a joke of a city.

1. Jacksonville - I can't stand Florida as a whole - but my god Jacksonville was shockingly boring. The "cool spots" that locals recommended were essentially suburban strip malls.  The city was barren and had less than a handful of bars worth walking into. It was a struggle to find a decent dive bar, and even then it was just a confusing hodgepodge of uncultured drunks.

Honorable mention:

Buffalo

I no longer live in Buffalo. I love the renaissance of the west side, the few things built near the waterfront, and of course the food.  Depending on what you're interested in, Buffalo can be incredibly boring though.  I was able to make the most of my time there - but I have no problem going to diy music shows or midnight bike rides. Unless there's a city-wide ban on chicken wings Buffalo can never dip into the bottom five.

Green Bay

I've never been to Green Bay, but I've been to Milwuakee a couple times and I like it on par with Buffalo.  I've been told Green Bay is way smaller and has no night life, so I have to assume it's got to be pretty boring, but I don't even know if it qualifies for the list. It's more of a town, isn't it?

Maybe they did? Doesnt Tampa have something like that?

Could very well be. I only remember it because it was supposed to help them sell out. Don't remember hearing Tampa, but you've been to the stadium, I haven't. So I'd take your word over mine.

That's the thing with Green Bay and even Buffalo/WNY area too from an NFL city perspective I lump places like that in as regions so if you include the Milwaukee area(where my group is staying for a little bit when we do our Green Bay trip this season) Green Bay isn't nearly as bad for lack of entertainment if you were heading out there to catch a game.  Same thing with going to Buffalo with the options to cross over the border and hit the Canadian Strip Clubs and Casinos or if you are bringing your family there is the option to do things like the Maid of the Mist and the Cave of the Winds, Youngstown Jet Boat tour etc...if you lump the WNY region together there are tons of things to do.

Fearing for your life in Detroit City can be a different kind of exciting.

Baltimore (imo) is pretty horrible as well I dare say. I was down there for a concert near the Harbor. When the concert ended it was an adventure.

Just out of curiosity why do you think the city is boring?  We have way more stuff than most cities have imo.  Great food, great bar districts, Casinos, one of the wonders of the world in NF, world class strip clubs,  beautiful parks for hiking and such as Letchworth Park, excellent fresh water fishing, a beautiful freshwater Lake that is second to none for water activities, maid of the mist, jet boat tours, a beautiful museum.  Sorry we don't have a drive thru Daiquiri Stand like the sh*thole you live in.

Great food - super check that box

bar districts- again, lapping the field

casinos- yup

No niagra

world class may be a stretch for either cities strip clubs

fishing? That gulf thing has some fish in it

huge lake- check

sooooo I guess it comes down to waterfalls vs world class music, a top 10 museum in the world, elite special events, and probably a bit better at a few of the things you listed as buffalo strengths

you must really like niagra falls!

I understand people sticking up for Buffalo....but for someone to argue that Buffalo has more to offer than New Orleans?????? LOL. New Orleans is one of the best cities in the freaking country for ANYTHING.

I LOVE BUFFALO, but I'm no special ed. either. New Orleans kicks asssssssssssssssssssssssssss in almost every way possible (dam hot in the summer with no beach relief - delta doesn't count).
