Why Is Our Government Putting People In Cages?

No, I'm telling you that they already have procedures in place, and have been doing this for more than ten years or more.  Releasing detained children to the care of an identified caretaker is not a "new" problem - it's an already-solved one.

What do you think that means?

Going out on a limb here that there is something foul afoot and some sabotage to push blowback on the 45 admin.

Here's why:

An illegal alien smuggled a woman’s daughter into the U.S. and sexually abused her after promising her mother a job, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials said Tuesday.

Ramon Pedro arrived at a land border crossing at the Ysleta Port of Entry in Texas with his alleged daughter in April when U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials took him and his daughter into custody.

Both were released under the condition that they would show up for their immigration court hearings.

Pedro and his alleged daughter were admitted to Fresno Community Regional Hospital in Fresno, California, on July 26 to undergo screening for Tuberculosis when doctors determined the girl had been raped.

Once hospital staff notified the police, they determined that Pedro was not related to the girl, according to a DHS official.

The DHS official said the victim had been told by her mother “to accompany Pedro to the United States” so he could find the mother a job.

This is commonplace enough that it's considered normal by the people tasked with patrolling the border.

New Mexico completes construction of more than half of its barrier-wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

U.S. Customs and Border Control confirmed this week more than 11 miles of wall west of Santa Teresa has been built since the beginning of August.

Officials touted support for the steel wall, saying the completed 20-mile structure will be more difficult to cross.

Federal judges in small courts need their ***** kicked.

I think what Mitch and Trump are doing with judges will reshape the court system for many, many years to come. While every decision will not be "perfect" (ie not something I agree with ? ), a decline in activist judicial decisions will be a welcome change.

While the judge clearly has an agenda, he isn't wrong.

The President isn't able to add provisions to laws passed by congress. It was wrong for Obama to do it, and still wrong under Trump.

Reading closer, he also said Congress was wrong (unconstitutional) on the law they passed (shared information).

According to this judge, everyone is wrong except him.

This is a great decision.  Congress can't pass a law that requires the states to cooperate with the federal government; conversely, the states (and cities) can pass laws - or even make executive decisions - that supersede federal law.

Now lets apply that standard to DACA.  Or the ACA.  Or the EPA.  Or Title IX...

U.S. top court snubs environmental challenge to Trump's border wall

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rebuffed a challenge by three conservation groups to the authority of President Donald Trump’s administration to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, a victory for Trump who has made the wall a centerpiece of his hardline immigration policies.

Incoming TYTT to tell us how this is the system working as designed.

Are you saying that bad court decisions haven't been happening since the founding?

Bad judges will sometimes make bad rulings, which is why we have the appeal system, Joe; and ultimately why we have the SCOTUS.

So, yes:  the system is designed to deal with this, and no:  an autocratic dictator is not a better solution.

Ahhhh the 9th Circuit. Without constantly overturning them, the Supremes would have much more time on their hands...

The Trump administration’s bid to immediately reinstate its policy of denying asylum to those who enter the U.S. illegally was denied Friday by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

The San Francisco-based court stated in a 2-1 ruling that the policy was likely “inconsistent” with existing law.

Judge rules Trump administration justified in ending Obama-era immigration program

The Trump administration provided adequate justification for its decision to end a program that reunited hundreds of immigrants from Central America with family members in the U.S., a federal judge ruled Monday.

Magistrate Judge Laurel Beeler threw out the bulk of a lawsuit that argued the termination of the Obama-era Central American Minors program was arbitrary and violated the U.S. Constitution.

It's amazing how hard (and well) that line has been sold to the public by the DNC. Talk to any border patrol agent, any DHS or ICE agent who works along the southern border and they each will have dozens of stories that speak to the opposite position.

Partisan echo chambers are dangerous things.

More worrisome is how many get through.

Finally! Evidence of not one, but up to 18 deaths of migrants in US custody, seven due to subpar care.

Oh, wait. It was from the Obama admin from 2012-2015.

No he was correct.  Millennials are not the only one’s who worship Bernie and Karl.

I am an Xer... My son all Bernie because of the free education thing.  I am not Bernie or Karl.  I have more conservative in me.

Granted... Socialism great idea, but in pure sense... Will always get spoiled.

Seeing my what my father is going through with the VA system... I am even rethinking why a total socialized health system would be bad.  Not that a socialized isn't working great for my father the last 50+ years, it is.  I can just imagine how everybody would wreck it.

This is why we can't have nice things in this country... Why pure socialism wouldn't work.
