Perhaps to demonstrate the seriousness of their actions, the bill’s sponsors should map out all the areas in CA where all these awful miniature toiletries are fouling up the environment.  It’s bound to be much more voluminous than the human poop map, because it seems higher on the priority to fix.

Sexual assault allegations detailed in suit against California Democratic Party and its former chairman

A California Democratic Party staffer says former chairman Eric Bauman forcibly performed oral sex on him several times and that the party failed to respond appropriately to Bauman’s behavior, according to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Bauman’s former assistant William Floyd is suing his ex-boss, the state party and the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, alleging sexual harassment, asssault, battery, negligence and civil rights violations.

I don't want to seem insensitive but how many times do you let this happen before putting your foot down? What did he tell him, I'll give you 30 minutes to stop that?

I almost made a comment about the "several times" but like you didn't want to seem insensitive. I am sure there is more to the story than the newspaper article, but on the surface,  O.o

Simple.  Fear.  When people in power hold that power over you I would imagine it may be difficult to say "no" or "stop"

Floyd says Bauman assaulted him at least three times and groped him on numerous occasions. In his lawsuit, Floyd alleges Bauman threatened him, telling him “if you cross me, I will break you.”

Plus, the victim is a Democrat, so it's not like he has experience thinking for himself. He was just doing what he was told...like a good little Dem slave.

I know you're being facetious but sexual predators and those that fear them and/or are taken advantage of by them is not unique to any political party and shouldn't be taken lightly.

No, but the double-standard on how seriously to take them certainly is unique to a political party.

They approved a bond measure a couple years ago in the Bay Area to raise billions to fix the roads.   I actually put it on my calendar in 10 years to go up there and see if there have been any improvements.  This is something EVERY taxpayer should do.  No not put that on their calendar but holding the government accountable for things like this and demanding that accountability when it doesn't happen.  Like how the lottery was supposed to "fix" our schools.  How many billions and billions of dollars have been raised by the lottery and our schools are shittier than ever.

Awesome!!!  Shittier is not censored!!  Tibs and BigMcD's post are getting shittier and shittier and shittier every day!!!

California Moves To Keep Trump Off 2020 Primary Ballot

Via Washington Times:

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California Legislature is trying again to force presidential candidates to publicly disclose their tax returns, hoping a new Democratic governor known for his clashes with President Donald Trump won’t block them this time.

The state Senate voted 27-10 on Thursday to require anyone appearing on the state’s presidential primary ballot to publicly release five years’ worth of income tax returns. The proposal is in response to Trump, who bucked 40 years of tradition by refusing to release his tax returns prior to his election in 2016.

California’s presidential primary is scheduled for March 3. If the bill becomes law, Trump could not appear on the state’s primary ballot without filing his tax returns with the California secretary of state.

“We believe that President Trump, if he truly doesn’t have anything to hide, should step up and release his tax returns,” said Sen. Mike McGuire, a Democrat from Healdsburg and the co-author of the bill along with Sen. Scott Wiener, a San Francisco Democrat.

Big deal.  He's not winning CA anyway.  But let's see how far this ridiculous idea goes.

He won't win CA's electoral votes, but they're doing this in an effort to artificially inflate the "popular vote" numbers for the Democrat sacrificial lamb.

Trump got just under 4.5 million votes in 2016 from California.

Except 4.5M votes in CA is just a smidge over 11.2%, giving the D 89% of the CA votes.

Saw the thread below this weekend. Look closely. If you eliminate the electoral college and go to popular vote, you can have a scenario where the R wins 48 states by 54% margin, but D wins NY, CA and DC by 75% margin (highly likely), the D wins the election.

Three states pick the president.

CA McDonalds worker gives birth at work, tries to drown newborn in toilet, gets caught, gets arrested, receives no jail time, must attend parenting classes.

"Okay, so for today's class, let's turn to the Lesson 1: "Drowning your newborn in toilet water is kinda not okay by some people's standards."

That'll be ok under the new 'Retroactive Women's Choice Act' fast tracking its way through Sacramento.

Of course, McDonalds will still be required to give her six months paid leave for giving birth to a non-human being.

They Got Rich Off Uber and Lyft. Then They Moved to Low-Tax States.

The subtext here is, of course, that they have a moral obligation to pay California taxes because they at one time lived there.

The comments on that NYT article are some of the dumbest things I've ever read.  "He moved from California, so now we're subsidizing his diet!"  "He deprived people of their civil right to see Avengers: Endgame!"  Literally gatorman-level dumb.

Have they canceled the IPO after the big strike yesterday brought Uber to their knees?

I'm not used to hearing Austin referred to as "low-tax". Texas may have no state income tax, but Austin's property taxes are the highest in the state. It's the most expensive place to live in Texas, and it's getting more so all the time.

That still baffles me.  Uber advertises their driver positions as "work on your own schedule."  How is it a strike if you decide not to work for a day?

No.  But then, I read liberal sites that decried it as oppressive because it disempowered unions.

Those same sites were celebrating this "strike," of course, because liberals have no capacity for consistency.

That was the case with the person I know. According to legend, the first one started delivery while she was in the hot tub with her husband. Not sure how you don't realize you haven't had a period for more than half a year...but who knows.

Hmmm...I wonder why.

Oh, wait. No I don't. Austin is known as THE new hotspot for CA liberals who think their ideology works if they can just elect the right people to implement it.

On a side note, I have an employee commissioning a system in SFO near Union Square. He's been there plenty of times, and last night called to tell me what an utter schitthole SFO has become. Everything you hear is true: mumbling homeless, feces, syringes...just disgusting.

But hey...how about that view, amirite?

Downtown/Market Street/Union Sq., etc. is awful and as advertised.  It's like the whole Tenderloin slum moves south for the day.   Ironically, rich capitalists like the head of Salesforce are now taking on the challenge of fixing it since the government liberals have no answers.

That said, you really don't see that crap (literally and figuratively) in most of the city.   The Mission has always been sketchy, but even there it seems to be different than what they permit in the downtown sewer.

And of course, there are no cops here.   Still amazes me when compared to NYC where you see them everywhere, all the time.
