so...Allen being a "california kid" is equivalent to Buffalo being  NYC?

He's got all the building blocks.  The negativity from our fan base won't phase this kid.  I hope he performs in the coliseum and forces the crowd to love him.

i think the positivity will start to surpass the negativity for the most part. this guy seems like a good kid. he's got the tools and he is going to work hard. people are going to want him to succeed. people will Billieve!

Yes.  Most of us are now in the acceptance stage in the five stages of grief.

This kid's comparables, background, play style, arm, stats, college competition, upside, downside, strengths and weaknesses are Brett Favre.

We have a potential Brett Favre. No QB has been as successful under the magic 58.5% Sr. completion % since Favre. If anyone can do it I think it's Allen.

Look at his Senior Bowl film. Escapability, poise, steps up into the pocket, runs for fist downs, arm strength and even touch. The stage was not too big for him.

Be patient with this kid. Year 3 and it clicks, and we have baby Favre, and a 22 yr old Edmunds just entering his prime and changing the way MLB is played.

The McBeane plan is over many years (2-3) but it can be game changing. Give this kid a chance.

I love that Allen is from the Central Valley. Think blue collar, like Buffalo. Instead of blizzards and sub 20 degree temperatures. You have dust storms and day after day of 100+ degree temperatures. The Carr brothers also called/call the Central Valley their home. It is a unique part of California that many outside of the state would not be familiar with. It's California's very own "fly over country". It's a shame he couldn't get on with Fresno state and follow in the footsteps of Trent Dilfer and the Carr brothers. But in the end it worked out okay for him. Side note, I've been living in the Central Valley, Bakersfield specifically, for the last 6 years.

Great backstory video, narrated by his mom, from last fall.  Similar stuff to what we are seeing elsewhere, he is a great kid, and perfect fit for the Buffalo culture, both the team and the area.

I am looking forward to seeing him grow and develop on the field.  He has all the ingredients for a long term star in Buffalo.
