Sal .C: Giants Really Like Darnold

Recommended Posts

There's good news and bad news here. The good news is if the Giants want Darnold then too bad because Cleveland is taking him at 1 so they might be more inclined to trade out if the player they want is gone. The bad news is they will not trade until it's confirmed that Darnold is off the board on draft night so we are going to be freaking out wondering what is going on all the way until April 26 with the Giants on the clock. I don't know if I can wait that long. The anticipation is killing me!

I’m bracing myself for Browns, Giants and Jets to take QBs at 1, 2 and 3.

Unfortunately, it's sounding like a distinct possibility.  Should that happen, then the Bills have to be wondering about the possibility that the Dolphins are interested ina QB, and/or another team trades up about #12.  Do they spend draft choices to trade up to get the fourth best QB in the draft, if three get drafted in the top 4?

I agree I honestly believe they have a deal in place that is contingent on who the Browns pick, and if the Browns announce their selection beforehand, we could see a pre-draft trade.

Have you called the Bills and told them all their scouts are wrong about Rosen? you could save the day!

I hope they don't take Rosen.  Anybody but him please Bills!

Sal mentioned on his appearance this afternoon hearing chatter from Schefter about the Giants really liking Darnold take it for what it is.

This is 5 weeks out! Lol

I feel this offseason so far has been more crazier than the usual soccer crazy season.

Sal is grasping at air now...The Daily News and the insiders on SNY are all in on Rosen.

Found it interesting that a couple reporters today started dropping the info about Rosen's double concussions last season and his parents both being Physicians.  Someone could certainly be trying to drop his value.

interesting point.  The concussions are concerning, however.

Good question.  I guess it depends on who the #4 QB is, and where he is ranked on the Bills board.  For the Bills, the "4th best" could be the guy they have at #1.

The Browns know the key to their future is QB. They are not taking Barkley at #1.

Barkley's been compared to Thomlinson passing on a talent that tough not to mention they can still get a QB at 4. I've mentioned it before but look at what Dorsey did in KC, he drafted a QB with a cannon of an arm and legs. I think they go Barkley #1 and Josh Allen #4.

Schefter is pretty funny with the guys here (Bobby Carpenter and Anthony Rothman - a radio guy).  They do a weekly Wednesday spot with him and he doesn't really pull many punches when the guys here are off base.  The guys here said "the Bills love McCarron and could be fine letting things fall to them" and Schefter basically laughed at them, said McCarron is only here because there was no where else to go and said that's not what's going to happen.

I love his Wednesday segment and missed it today (high level meeting), thanks for the recap

I say as I have posted before.  Le'Veon Bell was a 2nd round pick, Kareem Hunt was a 3rd round pick, and Alvin Kamara was also a 3rd round pick.  Beyond that the 2018 draft is loaded at RB and the Browns could very well get him at #4. .

The only way he falls is if Giants pass on him and not sure they would as taking a QB with Eli starting makes little sense if looking to improve in 2018.

I thoroughly enjoy it.  They ask ridiculous off base questions (I remember a couple of years ago they asked Schefter if the Giants would give the Browns a 2nd round pick to flip flop draft picks in round 1) and Schefter's tone is straight up "come on guys, I'm doing you a favor, I don't have time for this nonsense".

He was so impatient last year when they asked him every single week if the Pats were going to trade Jimmy G to the Browns. He’s like “Guys, for the last time, they are.not.trading.jimmy.garoppolo. Underline. Highlight it. Not happening.”

he was as shocked as anyone else that they did but admitted that was why there was some issue going on with the Pats because even his source was incredulous that it happened and it was out of the blue.
