Worse Loses in Bills History

I don’t think we would’ve won the LAC game even with Tyrod starting.

I don't either and it's a moot point but some folks will continue to insist otherwise.

Chargers look to be firing on all cylinders right now and they were the last team to even keep a game with the Patriots close and hold a lead against them. Still think they are about to win out looking at their schedule which would have them winning their division in the process.

So in hindsight its' not going to look nearly as bad knowing we beat every other team in the AFCW but the eventual division winner and playoff team.

Obviously SB 25; but for regular season the Cowboys MNF collapse is a low point that would be hard to beat.

After that game, I've never cared about it all as much.

This one too.  Only playoff game I ever saw live!

That one stayed with me for a while.  The outcome of a sporting even usually doesn't effect me much but that loss was different.  It hung with me for a week.  A lingering feeling of pure disgust with intermittent of bouts of visceral rage.

After SB 25...

Dallas MNF game October 2007. First time Bills were on MNF in years. Bills picked off Romo 5 times (and he fumbled once) with 2 returned for TDs. Terrence McGee returned a KO to begin the second half for a TD. Buffalo was up 24-16 late in the 4th when Romo throws a TD with 24 seconds remaining, but they miss the 2 point conversion. Cowgirls get the onside kick and kicked a 53 yard FG to win it as time expired to win it 25-24.

And I got to see it in person.

I am not saying we would have won with TT, but I am saying it may have been the worse decision by a

NFL coach this year, and it cost the W 100%, because don't you think the defense gave up because

they knew they couldn't win with Peterman, and these guys were not going to put their bodies on the

line for what was happening with Peterman.

The D was so much better last week with TT, who the locker room knew had a chance to win the KC game.

When I look back on the Peterman game, I won't remember the 5 picks. But I will remember the oline and defense quitting on themselves and their fans. Thank God I didn't waste money going to that game.

Years from now you’ll remember a poor OL performance more than a guy throwing 5 picks in a half?

The game we lost to the Steelers 3rd stringers.

The Mckickreturn fumble game

The Cleveland Monday night game when EJ was driving and injured his knee. It felt like Trent Edwards injury. As if his potential was injured too.

The Steelers 3rd stringers game hurt so much! Win and your in the playoffs, Pittsburgh rests everyone and we choke. I remember the pain like it was yesterday!

As far as very worst performances ever (in other words, in terms of worst performances) I would honestly have to say that the New Orleans game, this year, is about a bad a non-preseason game performance as I can ever remember a Bill squad putting on.  There may have been a New England drubbing or two during the drought that I have blotted out of my mind, but that Saints game was really, really pathetic.

Obviously, there have been many more losses that were more devastating in terms of their affect on a particular season, but that 2017 performance, at home, against the Saints, stunk from the opening kickoff til the very end.  Embarrassing...

There have been many many worse losses by the Bills than the Peterman debut. How about the 6-3 loss to Cleveland in the snow? The 30-13 loss to the Cowboys in the Super Bowl after leading 13-6 at the half. The previous year's 52-17 loss to the Cowboys in the Bowl. The Loss to the Cowboys on Monday Night football. The collapse against the Patriots where we were ahead 21-0 and lost 49-21. The other loss to the pats when were were up by 11 with four minutes to go. In person I saw them lose to the Colts in 1971 43-0. Then a few weeks later they lost to the Colts again, 24-0 (the team was 1-13 that year).

The Saints loss this season was more disgusting than the Chargers loss.

You are very young, grasshopper.

We would have lost the SD game anyway?!?!?!?!  I am so sick of this ridiculous EXCUSE for Peterman.  Let me ask all of the experts that say we would have lost that game anyway.  Did you have the Bills beating the Falcons in Atlanta?  Did you have the Bills beating the Chiefs in Arrowhead?  GTFO with this ridiculousness of we would have lost anyway.  There is absolutely no way of knowing that and saying that is just excusing a ridiculous decision by the HC, a ridiculously bad performance by the starting qb, and the gift of 5 turnovers.  Since when is a 3-6 team playing a 5-4 team a lock to win?!?!? Please stop the nonsense!!!

If the defense gave up because they believed they couldn't win with Peterman, what was their excuse against the Jets and Saints when Taylor was starting? Remember he was completely terrible in both games when it mattered.

What about the last 2 years when Taylor has had similar performances?

Just think some folks are putting too much stock on the team as a whole and some perceived loyalty to Taylor. He's long gone after this season is over and so will any vets who aren't happy with the decision.

And a few minutes earlier the Bills were on the Dallas ten with that 11 point lead.  A FG essentially ices the game.  What does our coaching staff — who never met a FG attempt they didn’t love — call?   A pass into the end zone.

...that was pretty painful.....but the 56-10 romp over Losman was a stinger......had the family in Orlando for vacation at Disney......was trying to rush them to go back to hotel to watch the game and my late wife got ROYALLY pissed......she was NOT a Bills fan and the "see I told you they're losers" still rings and stings today............
