Doc
He's on the offense. Their offense scored 7 (so far). Our offenses scored 3 (in 4 quarters). I'm trying to understand why you think our offense is better than the Rams, today? Is it the fact Jared Goff already has more yards in the second Q passing than TT all game? Is it the fact the Rams offense have already managed more than 1 first down in their first half of play? What was your point again? So 1 catch for 2 yards (and not on the TD drive) and he's responsible for (now) 10 points. OK. It's a theory.

Everyone on that offense is partly responsible for offensive production. Sammy requires gameplanning around, Simple football concepts should not be that hard. dubs
Matthews has been an incredibly productive reciever in his career this far. He is big and gets open. Yet he gets about two catches a game this far. TT is just not a good QB.

Marv's Neighbor
Sammy would NOT have made a difference in this game! Having said that, it's time to try Peterman. I know that won''t happen unless Tyrod gets hurt, BUT.....

Yet he gets about two catches a game this far. TT is just not a good QB. Meh he's been a productive possession WR in a lesser offense than the Bills. Tyrod has guided high scoring offenses........and he's at his best when he can throw the ball deep. Tyrod had to throw a deep ball to a rookie slot receiver late in the game........and the play ended up botched.........that's the simple reality. The lack of a field stretcher was inevitably going to cost them dearly.........unfortunately it was only 5 quarters into a 64 quarter season. C.Biscuit97
I'm sure Watkins is having no impact on Washington's defense gameplan. None at all. Great insight here.
nedboy7
No you see EVERYTHING is Tyrod's fault. Tyrod did play like garbage. But trading Watkins has destroyed his play. A rookie and a newbie? Get over the Watkins trade already - they DON'T win this game with him there. The QB is still Taylor. Absurd.
bigduke6
i half wish they hadnt traded Watkins so everybody could see how he doesnt matter. but inevitably there would be other excuses for Taylor then. Bad playcalling, Oline sucks, etc etc etc. But id rather have the player/picks/cap space instead, of the oft injured possibly great WR.

ddaryl
We traded Watkins because he has a glass jaw and would most likely be gone next year anyway. Got something for him now. Not complaining about that.. There were other reasons why we lost IMO

I don't want it to be us. He had similar numbers through 3 years as Julio with some crappy qbs. But yeah, let's pretend like Sammy won't open things up for McCoy and the other WRs. Let's blame a rookie for not making a catch in a game where we scored 3 points.
BringBackOrton
Clearly Watkins is the difference maker in the rams high powered offense today. Dopey
Don't forget about Darby. With Watkins and Darby in the lineup, the Bills are easily 3-0 by now. Nah, they'd be 4-0 by now.
billsfan1960
Why do the Bills hate people with talent? If not for that idiotic trade we're 2-0. Does anyone not think he hauls that last pass in EASILY??? We probably also still have Boldin, and at least a CHANCE to score some points today. My ass is chapped about this one... So far Watkins has 1 catch for 2 yards, big loss. LOL
bigduke6
nothing Watkins did here justifies the usage of 2 first round picks on him. Injuries happen, other things happen, but unfortunately, Watkins is tied to those picks given up, and compared too other WRs in his class taken far lower with better production. Watkins showed flashes. That being said, he hasnt proven hes worth the inevitable asking price at the end of this current season.

jester43
let me get this right, youd rather win a coupla more games, have a worse draft position, and probably lose Watkins at the end of the season anyways while getting absolutely nothing in return? watkins is oft injured, with a possibility of having great upside. he hasnt proved it yet, hes going to want huge money, and we dont have a QB that can use him correctly anyways......so ya, should of kept him....smh u guys realize that the stack the box and make Tyrod be a QB defense that everybody uses, has been that way since Tyrod played his first game right? With or without Sammy, it doesnt matter. overpaying for a WR when u dont have a QB is pointless. if he wants "huge money" we can franchise him, if he's worth it, or let him walk if he isn't. To me, just dumping him for 2nd seetlike just another Buffalo inferiority complex.
C.Biscuit97
Jared Goff's improvement as a qb isn't helped by Sammy's presence at all!!! He would be doing the same even with Tavon Austin as his number 1 wr.

jester43
....yup...one player trade is the sole fault of this offensive offense.....the proficient QB reading the entire field (COUGH) has nothing to do with it...............go do your homework......yipsters unite.....one man forcing them to not crowd the line of scrimmage CHANGES THE GAME. I know Taylor's not great. We still could have won if we didn't sabotage the season with this awful trade.

Houston's #1 Bills Fan
That play is more the QB's fault that Jones', it would have been a great catch, poor ball placement by Taylor, a better QB and that is a TD. Agreed. I think he over throw a tad too much. Jones did run a funny route, but WAS in position to catch.
