His crew has only officiated in two playoffs since he became a ref 11 years ago. He routinely averages higher penalties/game than the league average and he is pretty much the poster boy for the "flag-happy" referee generation. Nepotism lives!!! NFL officiating has always been a nepotistic clique. There used to be a hugely disproportionate number of officials based in and around Denver. Yeah, to further this point, not only does Boger's crew throw a lot of flags, he also has what seems to be an extremely difficult time making announcements in any type of complicated call with any sort of clarity. He'll have no problem with "false start, offense, #62. 5 yard penalty, repeat the down."
