Actually, zero.

I only lift 3x per week, and I get up at 5 AM before the wife and kids every day, so it's pretty easy for me to get there.

This cut has actually been the easiest of my life by a mile. I've gained in every lift save for the flat press, which I've maintained. I'm down 21 lbs since March 1st and am 7 away from reaching the next weight class (148's), where I could actually stand a chance of winning a meet or two.

The most interesting part is that I have given up very little in terms of foods that I love--only Paula's donuts (which I'll definitely have on Father's Day). I still eat cookies, chips, chocolate, ribeye, bacon, butter, etc.

Impressive, I'd have to do so much cardio to drop weight like that. I'm assuming you are a powerlifter? If so I'd love a good beginners workout. I've been wanting to get into it.

You are correct sir!

I'm happy to help out...Shoot me a PM and I'll send something over when I bust out the work computer tomorrow.

Spoiler alert: I lift really heavy and do zero cardio

thata's the secret though, once you get fit and in shape you essentially don't need cardio if you eat properly and exercise daily with the lifts.

being out of shape you have to do cardio to get back in to it

I have a very thick frame too--I'm slightly over 5'6" and have been as heavy as 205.

I last competed in 165's, but some of those dudes are 180 lb-ers that water cut for meet day, so they blow my doors off.

At 148's, I can go more than 2xBW in the squat, close to 1.7xBW in the flat bench, and close to 3.5xBW in the deadlift, so if I catch the right flight on the right day I actually stand a chance.

Somebody tell OBD to sweeten the deal for Maclin. He'l get whatever was the last offer the Bills made, PLUS dinner prepared by a different Bills fan for the first thirty days he and his wife are living here. We've got a dozen meals or more already.

Shaw, I like the cut of your jib!

What's wrong with Maclin and the Bills? they aren't negotiating on Sunday? Their fans are waiting!

Maybe they're trying out a few of these recipes.

You guys are serious cooks. Last night it was just asparagus, fresh Italian sausage (hot and sweet) and peppers an onions, all on the grill. Then built a fire in the backyard and just chilled for a couple of hours.

And now, back to football.

Sounds like a great night

that's what kills me. when last at the gym in february after a lot that time off i still cranked out 4 reps at 300# on the bench and 225# for 3 reps of 6 on the incline (i always stick to incline, not a flat bench fan). squats were where i fell off most - i was doing 380# sets of 12.

i weighed 234 lbs.

it was not happy. in my best i was much more lbs. for lbs. stronger. i wont' even go in to how much but i got bored one day after the nfl combine when they were talking about nfl lineman putting up 20+ reps on 225# fb. they weighed over 280-300 lbs. i weighed 216 and did 26 reps of 225# on a wednesday after doing a hard day of chest monday prior. squats i did the next day crushed that over 460 lbs. with chains for 6 sets of 12. i miss working out just thinking about it but can't voncince myself i have time. i traded my six pack for a gut.

no Maclin yet....

all that meat i posted up earlier cooked wonderfully on my Daughters first charcoal grill was cooked up today. 2 1/2 year old Grandson had never seen a smoky cookout it seems!! I used a jamaican organic wood that heats fast and high. great for searing and then drops off quickly
Grandma made her baked white beans with bacon or no bacon. among other goodies

a Billion organic mussels in my clarified butter sauce lightly seasoned. Wonderful asparagus with Lemon wedges. A yukon gold pan of potatoes cut and baked and secretly seasoned. The nice Clams casino went over well. plenty of fruits

Some natural spring water coffee. some cerveza, some wine. Lotsa sunshine and happy dogs

I really like this Maclin thread. whats every one doing next weekend ?
