Are we ramping up to war with North Korea?

Recommended Posts

Although Trump isn't careful with his words here's an interesting NYT article on July 1993 where Bill Clinton offered similar sentiment: http://www.nytimes.com/1993/07/13/world/clinton-s-warning-irks-north-korea.html

On his weekend visit to South Korea, President Clinton warned that if North Korea developed and used an atomic weapon, "we would quickly and overwhelmingly retaliate."

"It would mean the end of their country as they know it," he said. 'Rash Act' by U.S

It's nice to see a little relevant perspective. Clinton said that long before NK had developed a nuke, and the support he received was both bipartisan and universal. To be honest, it seems to me that the thread title is backwards - it should read "is North Korea ramping up to war with the US"?

The answer to that appears to be a solid YES.

I'd feel so much safer if Hillary were POTUS. She'd know what to do. Pro'lly let them nuke Hawaii and Alaska without any retaliation just to show she's tolerant and there'd be two more states she could ignore on her next campaign. FORWARD!

Obama would apologize for the placement of Alaska and Hawaii

HRC would negotiate the annexation of Hawaii and Alaska in exchange for contributions to the Clinton Foundation

How much attention did either state get in 2016?

The only attention they ever got in a Presidential campaign were 2008 with Palin being from Alaska and 2008/2012 with Obama being from Hawaii

The 48 United States of America... making America great again.:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

No, losing states is not good. If for some reason we lose Both Hawaii and Alaska we should probably bring Kenya and Indonesia into the fold. If we make it retroactive enough we could probably solve some thorny issues.

What is the over under date for use of HC comparisons? Still going to play that card next year...2019?

Trump says US nuclear arsenal is 'stronger, more powerful than ever before' amid North Korea threat

“My first order as President was to renovate and modernize our nuclear arsenal. It is now far stronger and more powerful than ever before,” Trump tweeted Wednesday morning.

He was able to do that in 6 months

Saw a dude on MSNBC blaming Trump for Kim making threats and using violent language. Not kidding.
