The reason most assistants have freedom to move on is due to the length of contracts offered to assistants. Lower-level assistants often have one year deals. JM57 Posted January 13, 2017 Share Posted January 13, 2017 Frazier being a Tampa 2 guy in Minny Frazier broke into the league as a DB coach in Philly, under Jim Johnson, right when McDermott was breaking in himself as a quality control coach.
