Omg, ignorance is bliss.

His point is that the idea of "if you remove this one successful game" or "if you remove this one successful play" is flawed logic. It happened, and it should be included in any analysis. Should it be taken in context? Absolutely. Should it be discarded completely? Absolutely not.

Yes, they had all of one bad game with Aaron in the lineup.

They came back the following week and held the Cardinals' offense (9th in yards, 6th in points), to 16 points.

If you didn't notice the enormous difference in the defense's ability to communicate and handle assignments once Aaron went out, then I'll be very surprised--you normally are more astute than that.

And as I said, it is unacceptable that the defense is that reliant upon one guy (or even one position) to be effective.

while i agree, i do think there is some merit to the fact that the point he made with it being keenum, brissett, and Kaepernick at qb in 3 of those games, and the cardinals offense took awhile to get going scoring 21, 7, 18, and 13 in their first 4 games for an average under 15ppg in september for whatever reason. some probably related to the quality of defenses faced those days though. They did have a stretch late in the year when they allowed 17 TDs in 18 RZ possessions. That is inexcusable down the stretch in the playoff hunt.

It is. However the tire fire thay people say to make TT look better just wasnt really there if you look at the PPG

Yup, it's why I mentioned the Miami game to jms saying take out the NE shutout. Then hokey boy chimed in with ignorance.

Nostradamus?

No. I've just watched this team operate the past 17 years. It's an easy prediction.

So, so hasent everybody else around here.

I agree, but my point was more along the lines of how noticeable the difference was in on-field communication and the number of blown assignments.

It did.

But the loss of AW is extremely overrated by a lot on this board.

I would say it's overrated a bit, but not extremely.

Just who ever is the Bills coach. Please for the love if god bring the Bills into Modern football and not 1980s and 1990 concepts and push it as innovative to me.

DJ did it with the Tampa 2 (even after teams started breaking it with these TEs)

Rex did it with the antiquated 4-6

Marrone did it with the Ground and Pound (yes was here)

Heck really the only one that was a bit innovative was Chan.

Does anyone care for much in depth on what I see him doing with our d based upon my viewing of panther a regularly + high level of knowldge?

If so what ya want?

Yes please. I'm about to put ScottLaw and MAJBobby on ignore, which will mean I won't see about 80% of the posts on this board, so I'd like something new to read, yes.

But can McCoy coordinate a running game? He's a passing game specialist and that's the opposite of our strength.

That's all he had in Denver with Tebow. They ran to set up the run that year! He can get it done in the run game too.

Yeah - please incorporate short passing and screens like every other team in the league. Please call passes with an NFL route tree.

I have my own ideas, but would definitely like to hear what you think.

Yes! Please start a new thread though; don't bury the X and O talk here with the gossip and general griping.

I'd be interested in a general take on McDermott's Ds with our personnel and how that might impact our FA decisions (i.e. let Gilmore walk). Also, I am curious how well it might work, or how it might adjust without a stellar MLB.
