And he likely would have had 5 pro bowlers if not for Earl Thomas being injured. The idea that Carroll himself is the difference between a good tackling team and a bad tackling team is genuinely insane. Its about having good players. Does Pete emphasize good tackling? For sure. Do we somehow think that Rex Ryan and Rob Ryan don't emphasize good tackling? That a specialist would make a difference? The defense is not that talented. I;m sure they emphasize good tackling, they just don't HOLD PLAYERS ACCOUNTABLE FOR FAILURE. Good coaches get better results by holding players accountable.
