A Few Observations about the game (A Tribute to BillFromNYC)

Gotta give it up for Graham, too. He had some great plays, and was a difference maker. Loved seeing him get a sack. As Bill from NYC often pointed out: Graham gives 110% every play.

And, while on the subject of safeties: AW is back! Like many on here, I was concerned that he would play scared this season, and became even more suspicious when in an interview, he talked about playing "smart," and less physical. Well, those fears are allayed, big time.

They looked like they had their stuff together. Plays coming in on time, faster tempo. Didn't have to burn timeouts. Got the ball snapped before Arizona could challenge Woods non catch that led to a TD. Entire D played well. Hats off to em!

Didn't like Glass Goodwin giving up on his route and watching Peterson run it for him to get the int. They also couldn't get a first down to close the deal when they needed to. Can't tell me you all didn't think somehow they were going to blow it at the end. Thank God the D closed the deal. I am liking the upcoming schedule. Rex needs to keep them level headed and a zipper on it.

I think there was d holding on it anyway, so challenge and we still get the first.

6 - Carpenter needs to get it together. We can't afford these misses. I love him for 50+ yarders, but he's got to be more consistent on the extra points and short yardage kicks. Those can be such momentum killers

10 - Rex. I have to give credit where it's due. You handled business today. Others may question how we played softer in the 4th quarter but he played the odds, our lead, and the clock. When he did blitz in the 4th, it was effective. The only play where I lost my mind was the time-out before the delay of game. But they turned around with a great blitz and killed that drive. So, I apologize for the thoughts in my brain.

Carp can't get a pass because we're also wasting a roster spot on Gay. That TO just before the DOG had me screaming at the TV. The win cures all, but mistakes like that will cost us against better teams.

Yeah if a dlineman is going to get a penalty, I want that penalty to be him ripping the qbs head off.

Of course you do, Quint, but you're old school!

You probably wanted Hughes to swallow Palmer whole.

Little shakin', little tenderizin', and down he goes.

I mean this is the NFL. This isn't like going down the pond chasin' bluegills and tommycods.

Fitz played one of his on games last week (karma caught to him this week) and the Ravens are good.

Maybe the BIlls are good. Just been some tough opponents.

Any NFL team should win when they give up just 13 points. Any NFL team should win if they score 31 points. Having dropped two big early season opportunities, I think many of us looked at the schedule at the beginning of the season and thought that 1-3 was a real possibility, and yet could calculate a way to 9 or 10 wins in spite of it. Five of the last six we play are very winable and if we can steal one or two more on the way like we did today, the playoff streak may mercifully end. Meanwhile, Belichek could start a skeleton at QB and win games. I hope A-Lynn pulls a rabbit out of his hat for New England like he did for Arizona.

Rex's defense finally looks in order. The corners played inspired football after the humiliation they took from Fitz. He needs to keep them firing for several weeks in a row rather than just onesies. Tyrod didn't have a huge game with his arm, but he didn't need to either. That won't always be the case. He needs to demonstrate to the league that they can't just key on the running game and blitzing. Great to see him using his legs again. I thought Roman forgot he was issued two of them at birth. There may come a day when we build a statue of Taylor, but now isn't the time.

Meanwhile, Rex is breathing a lot easier and is reportedly in his element mouthing off about the Patriots. He always wins the week before and loses Sunday, but a lot of Bills coaches didn't win either one, not that that's a consolation. I hope we kill them in Foxboro.

3 - TT looked comfortable. Yes, that read option pitch was almost a nightmare and his passing totals weren't huge. But after that first long run, you finally saw him making those short passes he's been missing. He was accurate, he made some throws over the middle. He wasn't great, but he was so much better than the first two weeks. I'm taking is as a sign of progress. Not done with him yet.

Go Bills

1. 15 / 28 - not accurate - 56 % completions.

2. Mental mistakes again - lucky didn't cost the team more.

3. 119 yards passing - not nearly enough.

He's a decent backup - nothing more. IMO

This is the 2nd miss on Qb by Whaley.

Do we not count the WR drops? Of which there were several? Exactly what mental mistakes? Because he missed a pitch? Lets leave out his score and his running yardage while we are at it.

You're missing the point, Gay shouldn't be on the roster anyways. Touch backs are less valuable than ever with the 25yd rule.

Why are we keeping a kick off specialist when the rules blatantly suggest one is unnecessary?? Stupid.

The 70 plus rushing yards by TT was huge. Tyrod isnt going to pick apart a D with his passing. He has his moments especially with the long ball. What he does have is his legs.....its what guys like Eli, Palmer, Rivers, Brees, and Ryan dont have. Been saying this for a while. use TT legs, and dont play fearing an injury with the play calling. Taylor also needs to know when to take off and get a easy first downs with his legs. TT should have 40 plus rushing every game. Saw some better things with that with Lynn today.
