From the OP I would

drop Bryce Brown and add Fred Jackson

Not assume we have Evan Mathis and put Connor as back up FB

Buchanan is on PS and Cassel is 3rd QB

Good first swing although ambitious with Mathis

Seems as though the Pegula's actually care about what us fans actually think. That being said, they stepped in to make sure Fred wasn't released. He'll be on this roster this year. I can see a qb released though, although Rex says he can't see that happening.

That's ballsy lybob. No Freddie. Maybe his time is up, but we'd all puke our brains out to find out he signs with the Pats...

I can't see them without Cassel. It's always good to have a veteran if things go wrong.

I'm not sure what the Tyson Chandler hype is all about? Practice squad. They will go with 3 OTs on the 53.

Now that looks a lot more like what I expect.

Who were your hardest cuts? I'm still not convinced Hogan makes the team, though he did better than expected last year....

I know most teams don't carry a FB these days. Do teams ever carry two? (John Conner)

Nice work.

My only difference is I had them keeping Buchanan over Gay.

I think that carrying 3 tackles was tough but I suppose with an injury they will sign one or bring one off of the practice squad.

I think that Bryce Brown has talent but he feels like he is on the outside looking in. Dez Lewis will hopefully make it to the practice squad. I cut Meeks and Ladler too who I think could both be NFL players. I like Thigpen too but don't think that they carry a return man. The same goes for John Conner (he was probably my last cut).

If you want Mathis and to extend Dareus you need to cut players with a decent cap savings- cutting just Chris Williams doesn't do it - love Fred and have nothing against Cassel but that's where the money is.

Tyson Chandler - almost 37 inch arms and 31 BP, played in college at around 360lbs and was scouted as having slow feet but is down to 330lbs and movement is much better than expected, basically Bills have an undrafted FA with the physical qualities of a 2nd or 3rd round player- I'd be afraid that he'd be snatched eventually from the practice squad .

i really think Hogan is looking like a lock. Sal said he was the #3 WR last week (harvin wasn't there) and he sees him no lower than 4th in depth chart. Coaches gushing too about his route running. He may not be sammy/percy/woods talent but I think they see him as dependable and great attitude who can play too. I still think Goodwin makes it also. Edited by YoloinOhio

Hogan is the only wr on the team that can play special teams coverage and run routes. He's like a combo of woods an Easley (of course not quite as good as either but functional in both their spots)

Players like that are sticky. He's more productive and versatile as a wr than Goodwin. He's actually 4th best wr and pressing for top 3.

Woods can most certainly play ST; it just isn't a great investment to have him do so and risk injury covering kicks when guys like Easley, Powell, Brooks, Graham, Duke, Rambo, etc are just as capable.

Possible, I've just never seen it so I don't know. Hogan made some nice plays as s gunner last year, so we've seen it... but if woods can do STs, he may be called on this year to do just that given his slide down the depth chart. Also if it's the case he is effective there then yeah hogans less valuable.

Edit- I didn't remember him doing kickoff coverage, but nice hit vs Fins proves otherwise.

Yeah, I could see any of these guys making the team (plus the others you listed):

* John Conner

* Dez Lewis

* Meeks

* Buchanon

* Thigpen

At the expense of:

* Randell Johnson

* Brooks - they need the support; I just haven't seen enough good CB play from him yet

* Gay

* Hogan

* Goodwin

Also, I could see them dropping Carrington, though I'm hopeful he has continued to improve and makes the team.

he just happens to be the most valuable player on special teams; WR is the position he happens to play

checkout his rotoworld profile WR is a position he happens too no longer play according to them. As a bill never really did. I am certainly aware of his special teams work, otherwise he would be out of football.

Marv Levy used to say that when you start listening to the fans you wind up joining them in the bleachers.

Thanks- my bad. And how could I forgot a nice play like that on a pretty good player to boot.

He is the #2 WR

So you're saying its:

1.watkins

2.Woods

3. Harvin?

I had him behind Percey but I guess we will find out going through camp.

Yeah, I think Harvin is going to be primarily in the slot and moved around. Woods is the prototype #2 to me anyways. He's a solid blocker and route runner but lacks the explosion to be a #1. He is very reliable.

I absolutely believe Randell Johnson makes it.....brooks and gay might be cuts......I think Hogan and Goodwin are battling for one spot.

Also, I could see them dropping Carrington, though I'm hopeful he has continued to improve and makes the team.

If Carrington is healthy no way he gets dropped......the guy is big and versitile a great backup type DL

I think it will be hard to say who the #2 is at the start of the season between Harvin and Woods. I expect their snap counts to be similar and both to line up in the slot and outside. With that being said I think Woods gets more targets because Harvin draws more attention. I don't think we'll know who the #2 is until mid-season.
