Big C
Carpenter and Orton both claim to have been hit with laser pointers today. So one of Orton's gestures to the ref makes sense now. Has this been an issue before?
zevo
wow...that is dangerous if true depending on how strong the laser pointer
boyst
If anyone has still shots showing this, I'd like to see them. Also, I wonder what the NFL rules are allowing for this?
26CornerBlitz
They should have pointed lasers in their own kicker's eyes. Might have helped him.

Buffalo Barbarian
Homeland security to be at all games since the carpenter/laser incident. (anonymous source) Carpenter and Orton both claim to have been hit with laser pointers today. So one of Orton's gestures to the ref makes sense now. Has this been an issue before? It was the cause for his early struggles in the game They should have pointed lasers in their own kicker's eyes. Might have helped him. A little last minute corrective laser surgery.

Fadingpain
That's definitely not cool and it should be on stadium security to remove these a-holes from the game. It's the high tech equivalent of throwing D Cells at an outfielder at a baseball game, typically in Yankee Stadium or any other venue with a large supply of subhumans. Philly comes to mind as well. RyanC883
these guys should do some jail time/huge fines and community service if true. That is a serious health risk depending on the type of lazer.
Billshank Redemption
I was at the game, I didnt see it on Carpenter but saw it clear as day on Orton on 2nd down the play before he went to Goodwin deep. Such horseshit and should be a personal foul on the lions.
Kipers Hair
NFL should rule - if the person is caught an it impacted the game, either a forfeit for the home team or loss of draft picks or cap space...
DC Greg
Wow. Stay classy Detroit. So glad we still beat you, despite the cheating. All the refs and laser pointers in the world couldn't save you today

KD in CA
If they were caught then they were likely ejected. The Bills informed NFL security. Probably....which is ridiculous. Anyone who does that should be sitting in a prison cell awaiting trial.

machine gun kelly
I would assume the fans had to be somewhere in the end zone as that makes the most sense for disrupting someone's eyes. The laser pointer would have to be very strong for this to be an issue, and the person would need to be very accurate. I don't discount what was said by the players, but this is harder than you think. If true, I hope they prosecute the guys. Not good for a person's eyes at all.
