Very slow in diagnosing plays often resulting in TE's being wide open up the middle (i.e., blown coverage on the TD pass). He takes horrible angles on the ball, and has a very difficult time shedding blocks. Would get destroyed by fullbacks/o-linemen at the nest level. He's got a long track record. I think this hurts him with fans more than scouts. I don't think he was ever top 5, but is more than a second rounder still. Worst case he seems like a great fit with Pittsburgh, Baltimore (needs a 34 ilb and would have a mentor even if retired) or the pats at the bottom of the first. All this assuming his 40 isn't awful.
