  1. Thank you! Sometime fans get loss in regards to what this is about...$$$. IMO, use the Indy Dome as a model (cost effective) and partner it with a larger regional plan to make it attractive to the millions of visitors that past through to go view one of the wonders of the world 10-30 miles north of the city. Think something like, largest shopping mall in the state(tax exempt shopping) coupled w/ the family entertainment & live concerts given in the summer @ Canalside...in the winter those who like the cold stuff (count me out) can go to the events given currently and the other still can have an option, especially during X-Mas time... This would make the area a regional tourism draw and centralize the main shopping & entertainment district for visitors as well as the locals.
  2. Carolina Panthers is my guess as well, he will come full circle after starting his college career at NC State.
  3. Shhhh!!! Don't bring facts to the discussion, he sucks!!! (sarcasm)
  4. I agree with Herm and pretty courageous, IMO (he is in a tough spot working for ESPN) but seems utterly disgusted with how the coverage of the game has become more or less reality TV. I really hope that the team concept to winning becomes more of the focus again & the so-called "good for TV" approach takes a hike...I know a pretty Utopian thought indeed, smh!
  5. The championship franchise's from Detroit (Red Wings, Tigers & Pistons) drink their water from the Lake St. Clair treatment facility, LOL! The Lions have yet to venture upstream...
  6. I'm starting to think its the curse of Lake Erie...something other than just chemical waste is berried in the bottom of that lake!
  7. I hate to beat the drum of the ref's but usually the ref taps the defender if he's covering the center...why not today? The video of the refs doing this in a game last year (NE vs Jets) went viral, the league's response was that it was a common practice to avoid calling a penalty. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000412180/article/blandino-refs-conduct-on-jets-field-goal-not-unusual
  8. @Andy_Benoit: #Patriots #Bills Film: Collins first sack was through A-gap. Chandler Jones aligned there presnap and illegally held C Wood post-snap. Of course this was an oversight by the refs...D'ope! There were more but I understand that not all infractions will be called...still stings! @Andy_Benoit: #Bills Film: after Taylor scrambled for 23 yds on first snap vs. man-free blitz, #Patriots on second drive rotated to man-free-lurk... Good stuff! Great post!
  9. I totally agree with this...just like years ago with D. Marino. Have the D-line rush Brady's passing lanes especially, when NE setup in the stack formation on those rub routes, with hands up when he tries those quick hits to the smaller receiver's. Follow that up by jamming Gronk (easier said than done) as much as possible at the LOS. On offense- open it up and throw downfield early & on short down and distance...Belicheat likes to bring his safety's up to intimidate the WR's on slants & hooks early in the game (see Denver game & any other game against Peyton). Using double moves & get open routes will keep them off balanced, IMO.
  10. So you believe that there are 8 openings on this years team? I agree with trading down in this draft but I would prefer to receive more picks for next year draft...that would be a smart thing to do. My apologies bladiebla, my response was intended for the OP...some how the quote went astray to you.
  11. I believe this reference was for C/G- Eric Wood, NOT WR Robert Woods.
  12. I agree...maybe a Shaq Thompson as a hybrid SS/ILB in a nickle set would be ideal. He is a playmaker with the experience of playing in space. But some scouting report cite him for being more evading as opposed to taking on blocks & gap containment in a base set. We can always use playmakers...Go Bills!
  13. That is why I adjusted my tagline to reflect a guy like Eli Harold being a possible option at 50 if he drops a bit.
  14. Thank you for pointing that out plus Hackett even touched on the fact that EJ was advised NO to try "to take it to the house" regarding running with the ball and the importance of him staying on the field. Regardless, time will tell...if EJ in fact does re-invent himself the team & the fan base will benefit! What's with the bashing of the guy? He's been a model teammate & reflection of the organization...I am pulling for the kid! Go Bills!!!
  15. I agree totally with this ^^^^^. I'm giving him a B+ for the record but it wasn't one of the choices in the scale (had to pick B). If one the QB's has an "Andy Dalton" like season I'd upgrade to an "A" for the year. Go Bills!!!
  16. Out of this very good post, this is your response...smh! Exhibit A of how the receiver is NOT prepared to hear a message!
  17. Not trying to simplify thing but this confusion you mention is harder said than done when the OC scheme's to reveal the defensive call...zone, dog blitz or man. Once that's revealed the match up is 50-50 ball to the playmaker in space. Remember we are dealing with a coach (OC) with an NFL blocking scheme and approach...besides Chan, we really haven't had this type of offensive approach. We're so use to one side of the ball being so incompetent, ie. D. Juron (decent Def/ horrible Off), Chan (decent Off/ horrible Def), Marrone (horrible Off/ Great Def). This staff that's assembled by Rex is an all-star cast, IMO...better than any seen in my lifetime with this organization. Go Bills!!! Problem there was who was the OC? BTW, wasn't Parrish injured the majority of the year? I do believe the offense had some pretty good numbers early before Juron's melt-down...didn't we start out 5-0?
  18. Let's hope they try this approach...it will be short lived! Way too many ways to get the ball to play-makers in space and/or misdirection plays with a eight in the box. Roman & staff > Mudd & Jeff (pop warner's approach)
  19. To be fair, the game plan for EJ was to learn from a vet QB but Fitz's departure & Kolb's injuries derailed the plan. Also I'd rather judge EJ's potential with a quality offensive mind & coaching staff before I will go with the debacle Mutt & Jeff turned out last year offensively (no pun)...sure Orton initially jump started that pop warner offense but eventually that pig reared its ugly head. The entire offense sputtered under his leadership...every player on that side of the ball regress during the season including Orton. By all accounts EJ did learn a lot from the Orton experiment, that's testament in itself, IMO.
  20. This right here ^^^^^^! The Bills will fill their needs in FA and get whomever they deem best player ready for the NFL in the draft.
  21. That's why Buddy & Whaley wanted to have EJ learn the ropes from a vet for a few years but the plan was blown up with Fitz leaving & Kolb's injury. One thing I take from this is that CJ also mentioned that EJ learned from the Orton experiment...also his work ethic & talent is apparent to lead the team.
  22. Gurley would be an option only if he is cleared to play by training camp IMO. I also like Tevin Coleman if he falls but in my makeshift draft fallout both of these guys are not there at 50. Which is why I have TJ Yeldon as my pick in the 3rd round.
