papazoid Posted June 1, 2011 Share Posted June 1, 2011 just got a notice... season ticket holders invited to a " uniform launch event"on Friday June 24th from 6:30pm - 10:30pm at the Ralph. live band, on field access (new turf ?) , jills, ...and of course the new jersey will be on sale. ya have to order complimentary tickets. That June 7 date has been floated around...scheduling the unveiling on the 24th gives them some wiggle room. In any event, it will be great to see the new unis! That traumatic memory makes me less pumped up for this event. Plus football doesn't even exist right now, which also gets me less pumped up. We already know they are going back to the white helmet with the charging buffalo. Sorry but I think you have to be prepared for disappointment. I have always liked the white helmet with charging buffalo the most. I think it is because I was born in 1984 and can only remember the red helmets as a kid but always saw the old pictures and videos of OJ churning up yards in it. Just looks classy IMO. Guess they might've nixed it as a Saturday event in favor of a Friday night.... And from all the things they're promoting, it looks like they're only hoping that there to be a CBA deal in place by then. I just really hope they don't go back to the white helmets not a good look !! The red ones look much better !! Well, you're sure to be disappointed then. I think it means the opposite: it's as long as they want to wait for new jersey sales to start without a new CBA. That is, if there's no CBA by 6/24 they'll just start selling the shirts regardless. I've grown up with the red helmets, but I always thought the white ones, with either buffalo on it, looked much better! I can't wait to see the real unis, not on a video game preview.
