  1. Not sure...I don't know why it can't be both tho...
  2. Apparently per John Wawrow it was cause the Bills were out of cap space from Knox going to IR?
  3. Mahomes has more...33 on the year, he is running more than ever. Allen had 124 rushes last year to Mahomes 66, almost double. Now Mahomes has more than Allen. That isn't maximizing anything, especially when a bunch of Allen's "runs" have come on QB sneaks and the final failed lateral attempt last game counted as a run.
  4. Maybe he should be able to recognize where he should be looking to throw the ball on a blitz like he would have been taught in HS football more? You know...start your progression on the proper side of the field and throw it to the open guy instead of always starting the progression with the side of the field where Diggs is lined up? If the answer is he knows it has to do with film study and he doesn't want to do more film study then perhaps it is because he knows the issue but is unwilling to do anything to fix it?
  5. Perhaps like at anything, when you are still learning to be really good at it you spend lots of time and focus on it but as you become good then you don't spend as much time on it because "you already know all that stuff" and slowly over time it starts declining and then suddenly you get to a point where you actually aren't very good at all at it anymore?
  6. Typically they let players decide the games on their own at the end. The issue I have had is that you don't even know what you are getting series to series from officials in the SAME GAME, let alone from week to week with the same crew and then with different crews. Look at the Bourne TD where Henry literally blocks 3 Bills players and knocks them down but there is no offensive PI called which was FAR WORSE than what Murray did that was called earlier.
  7. I would suspect the wrist played a lot into that and is why he is shutting it down for surgery.
  8. Except they have been making calls all year more and more that are impacting outcomes of games and many times deciding them. They virtually handed the Browns a win against the Colts with flag after flag and call after call...that was pathetic. I would be incensed if I was a Colts fan.
  9. The problem is almost always more execution related than gameplan related.
  10. I bet I know where he is putting in the work...in the bedroom with his new girlfriend. So much for never being more focused on football in his life...that all went out the window when a new woman entered the picture. As my High School Biology Teacher used to tell us constantly about the 5Ps: "Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance"
  11. He actually HAS been a pretty high percentage catch guy the last 2 seasons, that's my whole point! The first 2 years, it was low 50% area. The last 2 years has been at 69% and 73.5%. That's Kelce, Kittle, Andrews, etc territory and in some years better than them. People keep trying to say he drops the ball but they simply are maintaining an initial bias from their first opinion of him that no longer exists. This would be like people saying Allen doesn't complete a high percentage of his passes and isn't very accurate based on his first 2 years.
  12. It seems to me from what I remember is that protection is better and he has more time. They also seem to be running the ball better keeping things more balanced. I know the Giants game it all stemmed from running the ball more.
  13. Orlovsky is saying a lot of the same thing...Bills are very inconsistent with being "prepared" for situations when they don't already know what's going to happen. The thing that is concerning to me is these are basic concepts of what to do in those situations that we are failing at...like "replace the blitzing player and throw the ball to the voided area" or "read hot if this player is coming". Too many times the plays are there to be made if basic concepts are followed but instead it causes Allen to hold the ball or try to flush. Look at the players in those breakdowns and how wide open they are right away and Allen doesn't know where the answer is to those and HE SHOULD by now. That's a concern. Literally it's a simply see it and throw it to a wide open guy. Who does that mainly fall on? Allen? Dorsey? All of them? These are simply base concepts they are failing at far too often.
  14. DHop would likely even be a pick swap candidate..like trade a 5th for a 6th back and DHop.
  15. Hands have been far better the last 2 seasons... 69% catch rate in 2021 and 73.8% catch rate in 2022. First 2 years were not great, in the low 50's, but has become about the same as other TEs over that time that are good. Last 2 years have been very comparable or even better than TE's like Kelce, Kittle and Andrews... People talking about his drops are showing how little they actually pay attention to what is going on and simply keep bringing up tired narratives from his first 2 years that haven't been issues in his last 2 years. Pay attention and watch more football. Also, didn't he have some sort of eye issue that was identified and fixed or am I thinking of someone else?
  16. Here we go again...WHY DO THESE LIVE PRESS CONFERENCES ALWAYS CUT OFF THE ANSWER TO QUESTIONS? Comes back on so you can hear the question but then once McD starts answering them, it cuts off and goes silent. WTF is the purpose of even broadcasting them live then?? Just wait until it's over so you can fix the audio on both ends.
  17. I dunno man, he has made some big red zone TD catches for us...to beat the Chiefs last year, playoff games...think he scored TDs in like 6 straight games last year. People acting like he is some JAG are pretty far off base I think.
  18. Tomlin won his SB in his 2nd year...made the SB again 2 years later and lost...hasn't been back since in 11 years 😧 Also has never had a losing record there tho...perhaps that causes more issues than it solves if they need a few bad years for high end talent in the draft?
  19. Godwin, Mayfied and Vea were all DNP estimations for Monday
  20. Should not have been playing the last 2 games. He was a shell of himself and then had to shut it down. Probably wanted to go since Morris was out also and they are thin at options.
  21. He said "There is no foul for illegal man downfield on the play"
  22. Reminds me of the "Just give it to them" call against the Pats. That has NO relevancy to the play. Whether he is blocking anyone or not, doesn't make it OK for him to be more than 1 yard downfield. It's still a penalty even if he is dancing by himself downfield.
  23. I think it works in tandem...if the O can jump out to a big lead, it puts more pressure on the opposing team to try and pass more to stay in it and causes them to become more one dimensional, which helps pass rush and TOs usually. With the Bills doing little on offense until the 2nd half, when they have caught fire, BTW, other teams can keep running the ball and keep the Bills team off balanced more which makes it easier to eat clock, sustain long drives and give the Bills O fewer possessions. That's what McD means when playing complimentary football...the O helps the D by building big leads to force teams to be one dimensional and the D gets the ball back to the O with TOs and punts. It kinda causes a positive feedback loop once it gets rolling. With the way it's happening now, it's actually causing a negative feedback loop. The O can't score in the 1st half when the D plays halfway decent most of the time, then the O gets cranking in the 2nd half but the D can't stop anyone. Very disjointed right now.
