  1. Teams don't always finish with the same records or better every year...Levy went from 12-4 to 9-7 one year before going 13-3 2 seasons in a row. Every season has different variables and challenges to them that need to be overcome and sometimes injuries play a bigger part in some seasons than in other seasons.
  2. Drought era futility while having the highest winning percentage in franchise history and winning playoff games in every year since 2019 while making the playoffs 5 out of 6 seasons so far? Are you mad? That's about as far from drought era futility as you can be.
  3. They don't need one. They are transitioning to playing a more team defense oriented game and currently haven't figured out how to do that without greatly reducing their transition and scoring opportunities, but they will. Defense has looked much better the last 2 games and PK has been great all year. PP is not good right now only converting at 6% but they are getting chances...those will start going in soon. Team has far too much talent for that to take too long before they figure it out.
  4. Same thing happened with the Sabres and Lindy Ruff. Great coach...it was just time for a new voice.
  5. There is somehow the thought that just because a person hasn't succeeded yet, it means they never will. What most people don't understand is that failure is your greatest teacher most times and if you harness the lessons learned from that, it is what propels you to future successes. Show me a person who has never failed and I will show you a person who has not accomplished much of anything. Could you imagine where we would be as a society technologically if people just gave up trying after it didn't work for a few years? Ask Thomas Edison.
  6. Yeah, there is truth to that too at times...sometimes the same voice starts falling on deaf ears when they have heard the message too many times.
  7. He was really good with the Jags and is a big target that can get downfield. Kinda like a Davis clone but better at other things also...abysmal catch rate tho...makes Davis look like the most surehanded receiver of all time. Career 55.2% catch rate with a HIGH of 61.9% when he had his 1000 yard season with the Jags in his second year
  8. It was egregious... 1) It was a forward pass 2) The man was 5 yards downfield(allowed to be 1 yard downfield) 3) It is irrelevant if the pass thrown is behind the line of scrimmage. This is the NFL, not High school. In the NFL that doesn't matter. That was a 100% penalty and was so bad the NFL could use that in their training videos for officials on what constitutes an illegal man downfield penalty.
  9. That's just it tho...they usually play their best against good teams when the chips are down.
  10. Addison almost helped me pull a 99% loss out of my ass...opponent had Kittle tho so after I took a 3 point lead, Kittle getting a few receptions ended up making me lose by 4...not bad considering I was expected to lose by 60+ going into the game thanks to a bunch of dudes on IR and bye weeks...
  11. Don't think there is any timetable for how long it takes. Could be next year, could be 5 years, could be never. You just don't know.
  12. DJ Chark or DHop is the target most likely, IMO. Potential LB/CB also...
  13. People said the same thing about Andy Reid too. Sometimes it just take time and some lessons to be learned.
  14. Understandable until McDermott figures out how to utilize the players he has left and put them in the best places to succeed. We have seen this before. Usually improves quite a bit as those players get more reps as the season goes on.
  15. Bills 38 Bucs 19 Have a feeling Bills are going to explode offensively this game from the get go and not wait til the 2nd half.
  16. Yes, especailly from protection standpoints...Allen seems under siege in the first half but gets much better protection in the second half. I don't think people realize how the Bills have been nearly unstoppable in the 2nd half lately...last 9 "real possessions"(minus the failed lateral at end of Jax/Pats games) they have 7 TDs, 1 missed FG, 1 TO on downs after gaining 42 yards(Knox drop in Pats game). 0 punts. The issue is the lack of possessions since the D can't get the ball back for them and allow long drives and/or scores so they only get 3 or 4 possessions.
  17. No it's only taking into account weeks 5-7. It has nothing to do with any weeks prior to that. The title of the chart is literally EPA/Play in weeks 5-7.
  18. Listen Sal! Don't make me send a man in a cat suit after you! 😂
  19. results are skewed because they usually happen on teams that have no talent, but it's an "attempt" to salvage something. Hard to make much a difference when your players can't play well tho. Likely different results on teams with talent that need a kick in the ass.
  20. Is Allen's shoulder worse off than they are letting on? Also did Von reinjure his knee? Looked like he was limping after a play but had to stay on due to Pats going no huddle then didn't come back in...only had 6 snaps.
  21. He also led the Bills to 6 points against the Jags, the worst performance of the Allen unleashed era.
  22. Said it was a little sore but no major issue...he isn't wearing a sling like 2020, which I would assume would be the case if there was any structural issue. Knox is hurt tho...wrist surgery and is out for a while.
  23. Wow...that is rough...dude is a trooper trying to play through that, but it's obvious he wasn't right.
  24. Except Daboll's offense in his second year was as inconsistent or worse, statistically speaking.
