  1. Clearly you do because you are arguing something that the NFL doesn't believe can be fixed properly or want to fix it. Based on what was said by the former official they did in depth reviews of the process multiple times over the years and decided to leave it be.
  2. I don't think it is practical honestly. Sounds good in theory but won't work well in practice. The NFL has looked at this several times from what the former official said and they left it unchanged every time because of that. Game clock not play clock.
  3. No it's not spot on, it's misunderstanding how the play clock process actually works and how the the NFL WANTS it to work, erring on the side of the offense, and the gray area that has to exist because of it. Both due to the backjudge having to look from the playclock to the center and due to the arbitrary nature of when the play clock is started by the operator, which isn't clearly defined and has wiggle room built in.
  4. No that is not what they mean...it means game clock as in before the end of the quarter/half, etc.. Play clock is too subjective because of the way it is handled by the backjudge who has to look from the clock to the center and see if there is any movement of the ball and due to the kind of arbitrary nature of when it is restarted after the play by the play clock operator. Technically the play clock could expire but because of the delay of the backjudge looking to the center to see, the snap could still get away and this is considered a legal snap and more importantly the NFL WANTS it to be considered a legal snap and err on the side of the offense. They do not want more penalties on the offense that could reduce scoring. There was a former NFL official on WGR the other day talking about this after they announced the changes and the reasoning behind why this only involves the game clock and not the play clock, since the game clock has no subjectivity attached to it.
  5. Meh, no big deal to me, I stream any game I want to watch not on TV online.
  6. I think it's double pressure because McDermott's D, while very good during the regular season, even against KC, has looked mostly helpless against them in the playoffs. In the last 3 regular season victories, we have held them to 17, 20 and 20 points. In the last 3 playoff losses that has ballooned to 27, 42, and 38. And the 27 points last year was kind of an aberration because KC was averaging over 10 yards a play well into the 2nd half and the only reason they didn't score in the 30s was because of Hardman's goal line fumble and the Bills maintaining possession for so much of the game. IMO, there should not be THAT big of a difference between the two.
  7. Not surprising...necks are not something to be playing with..
  8. Playing defense just keeps getting harder. I mean pretty soon it's going to be if the receiver catches the ball they can't be touched and can just waltz into the endzone.
  9. Just wait til we sign Threehill!!
  10. Did anyone think Haack was taking his job? Likely Beane is keeping Haack around to help split the load in training camp and preseason games and to give Haack another shot at making a team as a favor for him being willing to help out last minute last year.
  11. Almost $20 mil a year to a WR that plays more like Judge Judy? Pfft...what a joke.
  12. No, there is NO WAY 11 rookies are making the team this year. At most, maybe 6 or 7. All we are doing by drafting 11 is ensuring some of them go to other teams. A poor use of assets. Either trade them for picks next year, or use them to move around the board as you see fit.
  13. Hopefully Tre took his 1 time contract guarantee from the NFL, it's unlikely he ever gets a bigger contract than what the Bills would have been paying this year.
  14. Buffalo doesn't need a center, Connor McGovern is our Center and David Edwards is taking his spot at guard.
  15. Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen are all from California
  16. Hell yeah....hugely underrated part of this D...he allows them to play Nickel so much with his ability to come off the edges and stop the run so well.
  17. Josh Allen is good enough to make it not matter if he has more surrounding him.
  18. Safety is the RB of the defense. You can plug almost anyone into this scheme and they will be OK. People need to stop worrying about Defense. McD can scheme up enough answers during the regular season. During the playoffs it doesn't matter anyway no matter how good they are, the offense is going to need to carry them because they can't stop anyone when it counts. Load up on offense and do enough on D to get by. The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again that haven't worked and expecting different results. The focus needs to be on offense, forget the defense. Fill it in like they did with the offense last year. Also, plenty of viable safeties will be around in the 5th and 6th rounds. You don't waste high picks on non difference making positions.
  19. So they basically flipped Pickett for Fields? That's a win for them.
  20. A team with a #1 WR that is 31, a #2 WR that is 29 and a #3 WR who is on the final year of his contract should NEVER pass up a WR in the first round because "they are good enough" now. That's how you become very bad, very quick, because you have the cupboards bare in the upcoming talent pipeline. Taking a WR at #1 gives them a year before they are expected to step in and play a huge role and to get acclimated to things.
  21. They can easily take a late round back who can fill that role, or a late FA acquisition on a 1 year deal. Zero worries about that.
